Love the app. They have a large library of different articles you can read in the desired language, and you can translate every individual word and add it to a collection of flash cards to learn from. You learn so much faster it's incredible. I highly highly recommend trying it. And don't use it for a minute and quit, but really try going through the newspapers and teach yourself each word and dig into it. This is the only app that has this feature. We must support this gem.

The app has grown on me and has a few improvements. I hope the app can remain less focused on social than Duolingo. My main complaint now is that I cannot include the gender alongside the noun without losing the extra context the app provides. Also, some words are translated by the app correctly, but doesn't include the context to help you better understand the word.

Update: After one month with the paid app, I find it unusable. The most basic functions do not exist. There is no instruction video and the help file is a joke. Selecting cards to focus on is limited to a "know/don't know" paradigm, that cannot be easily altered. Sets are only crudely implemented. Worst app I ever bought.
