The gameplay is very fun, the core gameplay is a tower defense with resource management being about ammo and tower powers. The music and art is also pretty good. However, the thing that bugs me is the progression being artificially slowed due to the fuel mechanic, being only able to upgrade 1 building at a time.

Unfortunately, contrary to the previous version, this is a money squeezer.. It's not a TD game. Rather a "build your city to level 50, develop heroes to 5 stars for a lot of money". The towers are like heroes, bought earlier in the "base" and then just deployed automatically. During the missions there are no upgrades, no buying new towers each wave, no placing them. Just watching how your current setup handles the new level of enemies.

They took a good game and made it from a really fun tower defense into one of those games where you have to juggle money income, eleruim income, collect your daily rewards, sent people here to do that, fly over here to do this.... Tower defense game. That's what I liked about the first one. This one is so hard to actually get to do missions with all the juggling you have to do (and the ads you have to dodge). I've replayed the first one many times. This one... I doubt I'll ever finish it.

Fun game, definitely more to do than the original. 3 stars for the avalanche of ads which I'd gladly pay to remove, but there's no option for that. Did you just touch something on the map? Watch this ad. Did you just complete a mission? Watch this ad. Did you just switch from city view to world view? Watch this ad. So. Many. Ads!

Really good game, a lot of fun. I feel like the quality control could be a little better, there are a lot of typos and syntax errors in the character dialog, there is a bug with the super weapons where if you use it as a mission is ending, on your next retry or start that last used super ability will be usable/active. The concept is original and fun, the upgrade system keeps things interesting, and I feel like you could definitely play and win without $ if your patient

Game was going great. Until the giant blimp showed up. And the blimp had an ability that shut down your turrets. And when it shut down your turrets. It made you focus on removing the debuff. It didn't matter that everytime i was using my saved up 4 slots of the steam cannon(giant red beam). It would stop me from doing anything but removing the turrets debuff. I had been saving my steam cannon charges for fights like this. And the games mechanics screwed me. I was approaching the end of the game.

My son (10) & I love this little game! It's a little gem with beautiful, stylized vintage/steampunk graphics and a fun storyline tying the battles together. After playing some other ganes, I reakky appreciate how unobtrusive the ads & purchase options generally are. You could go thru the entire game without watching an ad or paying, but it does help speed things if you want. Everything seems available from daily awards & play, tho I would watch ads & spent a few bucks out of appreciation.

The first one was entertaining, I've only played this one about an hour but it seems like they dropped half the challenge/strategy building and upgrading towers on the fly for a more pay to win money sucking type of game that most games have unfortunately moved to. Don't see myself playing this much longer.

I do enjoy the game but I would change a few things. During battles: when you upgrade a tower there is no indication of which towers are the strongest. You have to select each individual tower to see the stats. I also wish you could select for certain towers to ignore units, such as wasp only attacking air at certain times. At base: when upgrading units there is no indication about what the parts are doing. It's too easy to recycle upgrades, should have to confirm. Interface is a bit cluttered.

This sequel added stuff i like which are upgrading your base , getting loot to upgrade guns/tower & being very nice with the ingame currency. However the gameplay kinda suffers, instead of going to battle & upgrading while you fight, now you have pre-graded weapons & can't buy / upgrade other gunson the fly. This didn't fit at all with the orginal idea of the first one, i recommen Steam punk tower for new comers to tower defense it's a uqine game.
