This app is ace! I installed this to try and get my car stereo EQ setup properly. It's a 2006 BMW 330i Touring with the Logic7 stereo, however, I've replaced the 8x door speakers and centre dash speaker with the Individual Audio speakers. They're 8ohm vs. the original 4ohm and, being easier to drive, they were overpowering the original subs. I thought I'd got it set about right, but how wrong I was! This has really kicked it into touch, and every drive sounds so much better. Thank you so much!

This is a good app for collecting the data from the phones microphone and the sound wave frequencies the person using the phone is being forced to endure.from neighbors who use the Sound wave generators found in the Play store apps can be used interfer with some ones ability to use their cognitive thought process to hinder their ability to pay bills or participate in an one game to make them lose. This app records and the data can be downloaded and used as proof that the user is being harass

I work in a hotel and needed to measure room noise level for the AC. I've tried several noise testing apps, each showed different values. Somehow i could find an industrial noise testing equipment and i could compare the values. This app showed an amazing accuracy and performance as well. So, this is a proving comment with calibrated equipment.

Great App I am an A-1 I have been doing live sound for over 50 + yrs. This app is very helpful and full of options and even has Z weighting that so many RTA's don't have. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that one you hit the record on the very bottom of the app you can not clear it totally you are stuck using it. I wish there was a way to totally clear it as when you first down load the App. I tried uninstalling the app but when I re loaded the app the recording part came back.

Does what it says without ads for free. Worked well to set volumes and cross over settings on my home theater. Set it to C weighted and Slow response, then with the phone in my listing position used the test tone and adjusted.the settings till they all matched.

Fatally flawed as it doesn't allow you to select a microphone source. By default, Android seems to send a processed signal that compresses loud noises (or boosts quiet ones) -- you can see this in action by playing a loud test tone after silencr, as the reported level will quickly drop as the processing recalibrates. Every modern Android device I've owned, however, also has the option to select an unprocessed audio feed, so long as the app asks. A dark mode would be most welcome, as well.

Easy to use, no ads, and seems relatively accurate. Wish the data safety was clearly listed on the description page since this app requires microphone permission. I had to dig for the privacy policy which briefly states that no data is collected but does not specify that no data is SHARED, which would make me feel a lot better. Will definitely update to five stars if the app stands the test of time...

Nice, small, without unneeded permissions. Don't know how accurate it is, but anyway have limited expectations from a phone. --- Some features could be nice to have: configurable graph range (with 120dB at the top, you can barely see details in quiet or flat measurements), and dark mode.

The app is great for my purposes. In my application, maximum SPL reaches approximaly 88db which the app handled easily. I recommend it for lower SPL, non professional uses. Addionally, I plugged a calibrated microphone into my S20 and used the spectrum analyzer with a pink noise audio track to flatten the response of my vintage Klipsch Forte II loudspeakers. What a difference! Get it for that if nothing else.

This app is just what I have been looking for, as it provides for different weighted analysis ( such as A weighted and C weighted). But the bonus is the 1/3rd Octave spectrum analyser which is really useful. Readings pretty well match my SPL meter, so the app is great for quick spot checks in my studio ( but note- the developer is quite clear that this app should not replace an SPL meter due to the limitations of the phone's mic). This is an excellent app, and it out performs most others.
