2024-11-01 | Cordell Klier | I buy a lot of music from the Discogs site, and I love combing through it for particular variations of an LP. It's fun & interesting. Are there things I would change about the app, most certainly. But, at least in the last year things have improved speed-wise as far as information loading & transactions aren't as "buggy" now. Both have been helpful fixes that have made the app experience smoother. :)
2024-08-10 | Jarrod Vickers | Under-served potential. This app has the potential to be great, incredibly useful and serve as a marketplace hub for music nerds alike. However, its technical faults prohibit it from doing so. The app used to work, albeit with minor bugs, and now does not work at all. I can't search anything (by barcode or text) and my collection/want list don't show up on the home screen. I then tried viewing in my mobile browser, which also appears to be a broken site. I hope they can redeem themselves.
2024-08-10 | Ozzy | The app signs me out daily. UPDATE: The new UI looks nice, but is useless, because even with 5 bar internet connection, nothing loads. Every time you open the app, it needs to fetch the whole collection over again - which it never seems to be able to do to completion before the app crashes. The search option barely ever works, with everything I type in the search bar bringing back 0 results. Discogs has always been a lousy app, but a good service. The new update rendered the entire app useless
2024-08-05 | Kevin Lemieux | I love Discogs and would use the app all the time, but this latest update is terrible. My collection and want list, two of the main reasons I'd be opening the app, are no longer on the home screen and are incredibly slow to load. The barcode scanner was also a very useful, quick to use way of adding all my recent purchases to my collection but now takes several more clicks to open the correct release and then add the item before backing out to the home screen to scan another.
2024-08-03 | Sean Zearfoss | Discography is a huge mess. This used to filter by album, single, miscellaneous, etc. With literally *nothing* filtered now, the app is pretty useless. After all, that's pretty much the entire point of Discogs. Not sure what happened to an app that used to be great. 🤷♂️
2024-07-15 | Jackson Martin-Lyon | This is an amazing resource for collectors and casual listeners alike WHEN IT ACTUALLY WORKS. This app has had many issues for years now and it seems to be getting worse to point where it is now useless as nothing ever loads. The web version can on occasion run smoother but is still just as broken. Both versions have several discography filters and other features that haven't worked EVER. Until things are fixed, you're better off going on Wikipedia or something.
2024-07-07 | Ed V | Customer service or support is horrible!!! I have changed my shipping cost from $4 to $5 my settings. But still every time I make a new listing it shows $4 for shipping. On top of that on three orders I revieved it shows my shipping at $2. I have emailed support twice with no response. I am going to only list on Ebay, and FB Marketplace going forward.
2024-06-01 | Corey Schmidt | Been using Discogs for a while but I'm almost tempted to just use it in a browser at this point. 1. The discography page. Ever since the web redesign the discography page is just a mess. I just go to Spotify at this point to see an artists discography. 2. Whenever you open your collection or want list don't even bother doing anything until it updates because you'll have to start over. 3. Even though there's a save image button you can't use it because the app doesn't have that permission.
2023-12-30 | D | What happened here? I haven't used the app in a long time, like close to a year probably, but finally got myself together enough to catalog all the new vinyl I've gotten this year. It won't even let me sign in. I've reset my password, made 100% sure it was correct several times, even did a captcha and it won't let me in. Says my account is locked due to too many log in attempts. Now reading all the reviews here disappoints me, this used to be such a great app. Seems to be on its last leg.
2023-11-03 | Steve Moddelmog | The issue of artists' releases not showing (just spins and spins) is really getting annoying. I saw this morning there was an update to the app, and I thought, good, they've fixed it. But there was no mention of a fix in the release notes, and it is NOT fixed. What is so hard about this? You were able to make it work fine for years. |
