2018-04-29 | A Google user | I am generally pretty fair and laid back, so I typically do write many bad reviews. This needs to be written, though. I use Uber and Lyft regularly, but I wanted to support a local company. Two words: Never again. Strike 1. The Diplo app gives inaccurate info about the cab's location. It disappeared and reappeared several times. Strike 2. The driver spoke almost no english. Rarely an issue with Uber and Lyft since they simply GPS the destination. Strike 3. Whoops. The driver did not know how to get to Newark Airport. He either didn't know how to or chose not to use the GPS on his MetroPCS phone. I had to switch my Google Maps to Spanish so that he could get me to the destination. And he missed several turns. Strike 4. There's a strike 4? Just go with it. Instead of the $70 charge in the app, I was told that it was $88. The app doesn't put you in direct contact with the driver. It puts you in touch with the base. But wait, the base has no idea what is going on, so don't call them expecting them to be aware of anything. Awful app, awful driving, awful service. Back to Uber and Lyft. |
