I went from 4 stars to 1. I thought I found a file manager since android 14 wouldnt let me put old version of ES explorer on. I missed the encryption but it was the recycle bin that is problematic. I am trying to clean out files but when they are in recycle I cant tell what files they are later. In ES Explorer I can click on it and see them before permanently deleting. CX has made deleting files correctly or making sure impossible. You can hit restore but have no idea where they originally were

Seems like a good file app I just don't like that I can only open one thing at a time. Usually with the old file explorer app that I can't get for my new phone I would have my download file open, and 3 or 4 files from my SD card open. It made it easier to jump back and forth copying and pasting files that were similar before moving them to my SD card. I'll give this app a few weeks to see if it's worth not having adds and a clunky feeling app like the new ex file app. I'll update my ratingthen

3 years later and still great!!! Discovered Cx can play music and videos. Overall layout is great. It's simple but has everything you need on one screen making it easy to organize files. Like the option to move a file to the home screen. All this and no ads!!!

perfect. so many good features. scp works seamlessly. options for file management are extensive but not too deep to overwhelm. I like the select between feature. copy cut paste works very well. Very transparent about what it's doing, how fast, and its progress.

The hide function used to be great. But it isn't working right for me now. I had to replace my phone and now when I hide a folder, there is no way to access it from the app. The "hidden" folder is perfectly visible with the android file manager app too. It is only hiding from itself, then it cannot be accessed, ever(from this app). Maybe it is a Motorola issue, as I've been using LG phones for a decade. I hope the devs can fix this

I had to unload a previous file manager as it kept closing when I was accessing files or photos at random times. This one is smooth and fast. I have had no issues in the few weeks I've been using it. It's easy to find what I'm looking for and the organization of the folder headers under each category is logical.

This is the best file app on Android. It handles local files, all the big cloud players, network stuff great. You can transfer large stuff without worrying about timing out like on the Samsung Files app. The built in video and audio players are great too. There are other apps with similar features but this one looks great and isn't intimidating. A really great file app.

Best file manager app!! Has everything I need and no ads or catches!! Sometimes I have a slight issue with accessing saved connections (resulting to having to delete and reconnect) other than that, no complaints! Anyone with issues of not reading Android/data folder, is not related to this app, it's related to the default files app (blue icon), uninstall updates for that then you can!

Detest the "files" app, standard on android tablets & phones. Have used this app for at least 5 phones + 4 tablets now (3-5 yrs each) and could not be happier with the ease of sorting, searching & moving items around into new file folders, sub folders and between internal memory & MSD card. All I can say is, whatever they are doing, they need to keep doing things the same way... Please don't make changes just to say you "upgraded" the app - while messing things up or removing great features.

something that's been driving me batshit crazy for awhile is when you're trying to choose a picture to view that's on the right side next to the scroll bar. it's almost impossible to do that without instead moving the scroll bar, inevitably half way down the folder. I end up having to choose the picture next to it and then slide to from the viewer. that's mildly irritating. but when you're trying to choose a pic to add to a text and it does that it really sucks. all else is fine though.
