Scheduling is good. When your average donor is around 50 years old, it is silly to have tiny gray text on a light gray background. There are some misfires where the app should be able to switch to the keyboard needed, but it doesn't. "Rapid Pass" doesn't save any time for donors. It just burdens them with doing everything on their own before arriving. Certainly for platelet donors it is worthless since the time the donor would spend filling out the questionnaire is useful time for the staff.
The app makes scheduling so easy. It provides a handy chart for blood pressure and iron levels from past visits. The most gratifying, however, is getting a notification when your donation is actually being sent out for use and seeing where it goes. Knowing that the 30 minutes you spent will help save a life is amazing! It's also hilarious to know that my blood has had a vacation in Puerto Rico while I have yet to go! 😉
I love seeing the 'blood journey' but making appointments on the app is very rough. If I select a location and change my kind, if I select the "back" button I have to start the search all over. It should take me back to the previously searched list, not back to the start of the search. That part of the app is painful, but I like the rest.
