2024-11-18 | Amanda Hodges | Best app I've found for libra and OpenOffice. Can easily edit documents in my google drive on my phone or computer and switch seamlessly between them so I can work on my book anywhere. Free. None of the paid junk you see on some apps. No changing file format. I'm thrilled. Wish I'd found this sooner!
2024-11-11 | Tantaloss (Oevion) | Hello! There's a few gamebreaking bugs for me in using this app that I'd like to bring awareness to. First, backspace only works once, requiring a relocation of the type cursor away and back again to remove another symbol. Likely a dealbreaker for many. Second, the word count option causes a full app restart everytime it is pushed, making word count checks impossible. A dealbreaker for me personally. I doubt these bugs are universal, however, I can only rate based on my personal experience.
2024-10-10 | Josh W. | Updated Review 10/08/24: The latest update fixed a lot of the issues with functionality. It's still slow and it does crash occasionally, but it's usable again. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro, so it's not an issue with underpowered hardware on my end. Collabora is by far the best office suite available for Android, and hopefully it continues to improve.
2024-10-01 | Andrew Sarley (AJSarley223) | Perfect application for viewing and editing OpenDocument formats. A good companion app with Nextcloud for editing remote documents. I took stars off because I couldn't find a fit-to-screen view like in Word or Google Docs (I'll keep looking). Also, selecting blocks of text hides the keyboard rather than opening a "right-click" menu, making it difficult to edit. Finally, I'd like to easily move documents written on my phone to my Nextcloud.
2024-09-07 | Iron Spring | Great Office application, a little slow on document initialization load and exit. But other then that. Totally Free with no ads. Works great, if you were looking for a free document editor & editor that works well with Micro$oft documents & spread sheets you found it. A few bugs here & there but not a game killer by no means. Great job & always glad to find something that puts Micro$soft on hold. Great job Ron@Memphis, Tennessee USA
2024-08-25 | Mike Loeven | App fails to interface with many modern file browsers app crashes on Startup anytime you attempt to open a document through a file browser from an SMB share such things are basic requirements for any office program that needs to be able to edit business documents. Update the ability to interface with third-party file browsers properly as well as support direct links to SMB share files and I'll be able to give this another more fair evaluation
2024-08-04 | Michael Mort | I want simplicity in document editing on my android and Collabora delivers despite a few flaws. It's slower than its primary competitor. Text selection and copying to clipboard don't conform to conventions and can be a pain. No auto-save. But it's better in many ways. User interface is cleaner. It doesn't make decisions that are "good for your writing." You can use whatever dictation service you want. The Recent Files interface is cleaner and it remembers recent locations. I recommend it.
2024-06-28 | Ben Goldberg | I'm glad to have a way to modify my LibreOffice files, but this app needs a lot of work. Large blocks of text will decide whether to appear or not depening on the zoom level you're using, and every time you rotate your phone or switch the screen off, the app scrolls back to the top of the document. This is only during reading documents, too, I haven't even started heavily editing them.
2024-05-30 | Ben Oliver | I wanted to love this. I have a Galaxy Z Fold3, a phone that can, and has, run Fallout 4, but not this app. I want to edit a budget spreadsheet I keep in Dropbox and have my bank's website open at the same time, but when I try, it has the software equivalent of a stroke, and my phone starts to heat up. I have very high standards for mobile office suites, and this would have been The One, if not for the fact that it's outperformed on all metrics by a Bethesda game in a compatibility layer salad.
2024-04-15 | Brianna Williams | It would be really helpful to have a view that wraps lines at the device's screen width, and doesn't show the page breaks, margins, etc. (At least for "word" documents). In LibreOffice I believe this is called Web Layout. In editors like Google Docs, this layout is the default for viewing and editing on mobile, but you easily switch to "print layout". That feature alone would make this app *much* easier to use. |
