2024-11-13 | Les Fairall | Works most times. Other times I'll go to turn it on, the app will show that it is turned on but it is not. Turning it off and on a second time via the app makes it work. Seems to be lacking some kind of synchronization or validation that a command sent was actually acted upon.
2024-09-08 | Ron Ristad | I am giving this app 3 stars only because I have yet to find another device to control mini splits. One problem we have is it doesn't know if an ac is on or off. If an ac is turned on with app and then turned off with a remote or there is a power interruption the app will continue to indicate that the ac is turned on. The second problem is we have 2 ac's in different rooms with no line of sight between them but turning one on or off also turns the other one on and off. A remote doesn't do this.
2024-08-18 | James Mittelmark | This app is OK. I love the schedules and comfy programs, but there is no way to set up a schedule to turn a program off. If, for example, I want the comfy A/C program I made to come on at 7:30 AM, I can do it, but the only way to turn it off is manually. This would be a great feature.
2024-06-24 | Jimmy | Cielo was easy to hook up and does exactly what I want it to do. I do not like to leave my home for a couple of days in the summer and come back to a hot house. With Cielo, I can turn my air conditioning on hours before I come back home. it is really easy to turn on and off, change the temperature and settings, and set a schedule. I have been wanting something like this for years, after I found out that you can control these mini splits via wifi.
2024-05-07 | Michael Thompson | The speed of the app has gotten better but I still believe it's missing the option to have conditional schedules. I can't use any power on schedule in my home because sometimes the rooms are empty. A simple check if the AC is in a power on state before triggering some schedules would give more flexibility especially for comfy max. Also a widget so we can make quick changes to temp etc without launching the app.
2024-04-30 | Juliet Cordova | The app is a game changer. I couldn't tolerate all that was lacking in the hand held remote. There was no temperature readout, no back light, and no schedule. I had to locate the remote and point the remote at my mini split in order for it to respond to my commands. Enter the Cielo Home App. All the features on the remote are available in the smart home app. The only thing I would ask is that the developers add to the thermostat control a minus and a plus sign to avoid toggling around a circle.
2024-03-23 | Jb Nimble | This unit works well with the touch screen. However the scheduler and remote through WiFi is sub par. It consistently fails the schedule as it is a one shot attempt. When using the unit through the app also requires multiple attempts as it says the unit is offline. Definitely needs some improvement on the Wi-Fi side of things.
2024-03-10 | so kay | Super useful with my minisplit and also window air-conditioner in another state 1300 miles away. Works great. The temperature at the cielo tends to be high, and it will run the minisplit if set at 72 up to 77 at times. I monitor it by using a sensi connected to my central heat( which isn't on- only for very cold weather) but it does record room temp. I do need to change the schedule with the weather. Not accurate temp control. Doesn't update with daylight savings time.
2024-01-24 | Greg Nickel | The perfect setup? After using it for a year, I have some observations. This is used to control a mini-split. The programming is great. But it requires the controller to face the mini-split so it can communicate, which is too far across my room (approx. 17') to send a dependable signal on a bright day. I moved it to another room to see if it would work there. I found that this system can only range from 64°-86°F! So I can't even turn the heat down low when I'm gone! I find it absurd!
2024-01-22 | Thomas | This app works well for controlling my mini splits. I use it to schedule when my mini split turns on and off. The latest update removed the functionality to disable schedules. Instead there is only the option to delete them. I want to keep my hearing and cooling schedules separate without starting from scratch each time. Please add the feature back. Thanks. |
