2024-12-14 | Brian G | the app itself is good...chow now customer service is horrible...i was having a problem with the app and sent an email to customer service and after 2 weeks no response....then i find out they want you to open up a texting chat with customer support in order to solve a problem you have...but on their website it says you can email customer support...to me texting in a chat is annoying and time consuming. Just answer my email about any problem i have with the app....real simple.
2024-11-26 | Adam Hertzberg | They won't let you change the email address of your account so you lose everything if your email account goes away. Support says they won't help you unless you live in a state with better consumer protections like California. The app also doesn't let you leave on food delivery notifications if you turn off marketing notifications like every other app does.
2024-11-17 | Dan S. | Literally the only food app that regularly fails to work on my phone. Uber Eats, Door dash, Tock...they all work with 99% reliability. Chownow prevents me from logging in ~ 80% of the time saying the app can't find network access; although every other app requiring internet (e g. Chrome) is working. Really the most frustrating food app out there.
2024-10-05 | Mikkie LeBlanc | hard to use, had to restart my order 4 times because it kept resetting. Once I actually was able to order, couldn't order because discount count wasn't valid and it didn't give me the option to remove it. Instead of starting over a 5th time, figured it would be faster to just head over to the restaurant and in person.
2024-09-07 | Dave Sharer | Not everybody uses their phone and apps for everything they do. If I place an order on my computer, it's be nice to be able to track it on my computer. Instead, I'm always directed to download the app. Having downloaded the app, I can't even track my order like I can with just about every other food delivery service as they outsource delivery to other companies. No wonder the delivery fee is so high.
2024-08-06 | Devin Wilson | At least once and probably twice, this service has changed my order from delivery to pickup with no clear notice at all of the significantly inconvenient change. They have no way of changing an order to delivery after it's made. I cannot be clear enough that at least one of these two times, THIS WAS NOT USER ERROR. I assumed the first time that I made the mistake, but the second time I confirmed out loud to my wife as I checked out that I was ordering delivery and not pickup.
2024-06-29 | Silas Mitcheltree | The app is smooth and functions nicely. The design and the layout makes sense. There was a weird error with my order which read something like 'none is not a type Object' and none of my items or prices were populating in checkout - after fiddling with it, it turned out that it wanted by address entered on a previous screen before clicking into checkout. Not unusable behavior, but not ideal for most users, and not a good error message.
2024-02-02 | Michael Batipps | Very poor on accuracy and No flexibility. I have used the 3 times. Two out of 3 sent driver to similar sounding but definitely wrong address. Because of 1st error I made doublely sure my address was entirely correct in the App. The navigation screen had my address correctly recorded. HOWEVER after 45min I was called by the Driver, who said that he was at the same WRONG , that was erroneously substituted in the past. I was shocked! Driver said he had NO Access to the correct info in the App. Bad
2023-10-01 | Anna Subialka | I selected delivery for my option and after I placed the order it switched to pickup with no notice. When talking to customer service they said once the order is placed they cannot change it back to delivery so I would have to cancel my order and try again. I feel like the app should notify you if the option you select is switched or if the restaurant cannot deliver because it is extremely blindsiding to have it switched on you with no notice until after you've paid. Bad app.
2023-07-19 | Spencer Bourassa | Do not use this app. I ordered from 1 restaurant for literally years. I'd click on my recent orders and order from the same restaurant, same location every time. One day the app decides to send the order to a random location way out of my way. Support would not help me. The app works but if something goes wrong you are no getting a penny back. |
