2024-11-03 | steven webster | I like it but it's not for me, as I would rather have the option to use Zhuyin instead of Pinyin which this seems to lack.
2024-11-02 | Николай Конев | Easy and efficient. But - progress feels slow due to little listen-read exercises number - vocabulary sometimes is odd. Why do I need to know "queen" or "king" word at the first steps?
2024-10-10 | Marton Szabo | It is a great app! Very useful for beginners! I hope the Talk Chineasy app will be ready for android (not just for iphone) in the future!
2024-06-06 | miranda tamsin | This app does an incredible job of teaching beginner vocab in a way that's easy and fun to digest! I find the pictures and descriptions very helpful and they've made my first steps in learning Chinese so much less intimidating. I think it's especially helpful that the app flags which vocab you've learnt from HSK1 and 2.
2024-05-13 | Nicolas Auvillain | The app is excellent. It is very well designed, intuitive, easy to use, and fun. The Chinese language seems daunting, but this app makes me think I will be able to learn it and manage to get by. It shows the origins of words, or radicals, which help me remember characters and sounds. Their customer service is also excellent.
2024-03-20 | Marina Larnemark | I love it! It's not just the characters, it's an entire culture packed in one wrapping! The content is truly delicious. I can choose between multiple options to learn: an explore section, review and writing option and stories, generated based on my level! There are beautiful cards, that help us to learn characters in a fast and effortless way. They are catchy and easy to understand. And because it's so easy, I don't even have to try hard to remember. It just settles in without me noticing. 谢谢
2024-03-05 | Duane Dunston | I heard about Chineasy from a TEDx and I just started with it a few days ago and can now recognize 40 characters. It makes learning Mandarin fun. I love the quizzes, the monthly recap videos, the blogs, etc. I can do reviews anytime, with or without the illustrations. It would be cool to import words that I'm learning in PinYin or Hanzi (from other sources), and it creates a custom review list with the associated illustrations/audio card.
2024-02-27 | Whitney Wiseman | I think this app is super well organized. It isn't a monolithic app that will totally teach you Chinese but it doesn't try to be. It's a really great way to learn more vocabulary and the drawings really help a lot (some are a stretch or silly, but honestly sometimes that's easier to remember). I love the flashcard feature, the "words to learn" feature, and the stories feature. Definitely worth the money for the full version.
2024-01-04 | Lily Alcee | I will say I am learning super fast and it has a very fun interface. However, each character comes with a picture mnemonic and a description of what the original pictograph was depicting. The mnemonic image they give you pretty much never matches the written description, which is confusing. I also usually like the written descriptions more than the images so I wish they would just do it that way.
2023-09-02 | Daryl Harris | I like the App. It's like an interactive lexicon. I am self studying Mandarin, and Chineasy immediately filled in some conceptual gaps that I had from primarily playing Duolingo to learn. The pictures are helpful, but I find the explanation of character combinations (radicals?) early on to be the most useful and empowering aspect of Chineasy. I have had some trouble with the voice recording-- it shuts down the app. Also I would like a feature that puts characters together in sentences. |
