2024-11-24 | Sarah Asinari | Ground curates news from everywhere. I am able to see any and every topic. The app is clean and easy to use and works well between app and desktop. Their customer service is incredible. They're fast to reply and offer great solutions and recommendations. Highly recommend this app and company!
2024-11-22 | Shane Grytness | Amazing service. I've always wanted to get more in touch with the happenings of the world but I never knew which news sources to trust, let alone pay attention to. Ground does all of that for me. It aggregates a bunch of different news articles and their biases, or lack thereof, and presents it to me in a VERY easily digestible way. It's replaced Reddit/Twitter/TV for me for news.
2024-11-21 | Noah Wilkerson | Love the app overall but I have some issues with the way the app is displayed on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. There are buttons and text displayed behind my system status bar and camera cutout. The app doesn't seem to respect that as a boundary so I often have content or buttons render behind my status icons making it hard to use them. But again content and feature-wise this app is awesome!
2024-11-18 | Spencer “Black-Jack” Burkett | Edit: the suggested workaround fixed it. Thanks, Ground News || Can't log in with existing account. When I try to put in the credentials, it tells me the account already exists, and to sign in using Google. So I click on "sign in with Google" and it then tells me "invalid credentials." So I'm stuck in a spot where I don't want to create a new account but can't use the one I already have. It won't even let me reset my password. What is this??
2024-11-15 | Kevin Blythe | it's a very helpful app. it tells you what news comes from where, its accuracy etc, and you can see more about YOUR personal news reading habits and how accurate the stories that you're attracted to read are. I love it! there are a few apps kind of like this, they kind of do what Ground does, but it's not the same! ground is the best I've found so far. I highly recommend giving it a shot. they offer a free trial so you can see if you like it or not.
2024-11-12 | Joe Auerbach | This is a great news aggregator. Unbiased coverage. The bullet points are the BEST. Blind spots are useful if you want to be informed not just about what you're not seeing but what others aren't seeing. Also, I've received two emails from the CEO of ground news about the service and they were both outstanding. She seems really great and interested in the success of the company and really concerned with the needs of her users and you have to respect that. Edit: fixed my misgendering. Oops
2024-11-12 | Sydni | Ready to upgrade to 5 stars when UI improves a bit, mainly in the Discover tab! It's not as interactive as it could be, re: finding or hiding topics. It shows the same topics even after I refresh and follow new ones. (Not to mention, a weird bug that won't let me scroll down to the bottom of the Discover tab) It's also somewhat confusing the way it labels sources. For example, "Blindspot for the L/R" and "R/L/Center" are both in the top left corner of stories, depending on what tab you're on?
2024-11-11 | Kathryn Hopping | Excellent resource for news across the spectrum. In this age of false news, alternate realities, disinformation, and propaganda, Ground News provides a clear view through the chaos. I appreciate the hard work that the publishers put in to providing insights, biases, and blindspots. Highly recommend to anyone seeking reliable news.
2024-11-09 | Michael Wilson | Absolutely biased. It's an interesting app for sure, and definitely makes it easier to find different sources for articles and news. The issue is that I'm more of a center-kinda-guy and I've noticed that the app is extremely biased in a left leaning way. 99% of left articles say "high factuality" and 99% of right articles say "mixed factuality" without any explanation as to why. I find myself clicking through each and find no difference except their affiliation.
2024-11-08 | Jordan Dixon | Heard alot about the app, down loaded, it annotated what I was interested in, the way I leaned and I was interested in the blind spot feature. But all the news in my feed was the opposite side, and any recommened articles are blurred and not selectable unless you pay. I do like that you can select what articles you want to read and the bias of publications. But either I have done something wrong or they are only pushing one side of the political spectrum. |
