I recently tried the Center app as an alternative to a personal trainer, hoping for an effective, intensive workout plan with the flexibility to match my schedule. After a week with the free trial, however, I found a few key areas where the app could improve to deliver on its potential. Workout Intensity First, the workouts themselves feel a bit too light, even on the intensive setting. Despite selecting what I assumed was a rigorous program, I only saw two exercises per muscle group.

really great app that lets you choose what you want to do. if you want self guided, the timer and up next preview of your exercises is really handy. the coaches workouts are great, and the option to change your fitness goals or mini 28 day or 6 week programs are a great enhancement. how do we get in touch? I have a suggestion

The nutrion plan is impressive, but could do with a simple tracker for total calories/fats in the day. Something like the app my fitness tracker has for free. The workout structures are poorly designed, and are clearly not made by an exercise scientist. They use so many useless lifts throughout like squat curls, alternating presses, etc. There are more efficient exercises for building muscle or strength that are backed by science and don't uselessly fatigue without clear benefit.

I appreciate that they fixed the previous technical issues. The new workouts and programs are very enjoyable and challenging. I find that the meals are also DELICIIUS, and I appreciate that there are vary degrees of time for each meal, so I don't need to spend an hour in the kitchen late at night after a workout.

This app includes a full exercise and diet program. I'm a busy working mom, but I still want to be hot! I can do these workouts at home, in 30 minutes, with just a few sets of dumbbells. The workouts are effective. I love the trainers, and there are many to choose from. The recipes and meal plans are also fantastic. There is a daily recommended workout and meal plan, but also a full library of you'd rather change things up.

Updated review: 4 years in, and I am still hooked on Centr, in the best shape I've ever been in. I cast it to my TV, sometimes use their audio but sometimes turn it to beeps only and crank up my own music. The whole family uses it, and we each have different favorite programs and trainers. Great workouts for all levels, consistent and likeable trainers, visually appealing videos, customizable. New content comes in often enough so I always have something to look forward to. Worth it.

So far so good. I love the ease of use of the app. it's great for keeping up with your training days and has some great exercises. I have fully gotten into to see how much it can assist in personal details other than it being connected to GoogleFit. Love the videos. Gives a bit more motivation than just having a written plan. I do wish the programs would just progress through automatically in the self guided instances but I get it. Still trying it out though for now.

Challenging and fun workouts for every level. Many workout styles (coached vs self-led, HIIT, HILIT, pilates, stretching, strength, equipment vs no equipment, etc.) so I never get bored. Coaches are inspiring. And they're real people who will really push you to challenge yourself. All the extras (recipes, guided meditation, blogs on zillions of topics, newsletters, progress tracking, etc.) make Centr my go-to app for wellness that goes beyond just fitness.

Every time I've tried to start an exercise routine, I've given up because self-coaching is just too hard for me on top of working full time, school, etc. My sister recommended this app, and honestly, it has been worth the price. The video/coached workouts and routines help me so much to stay on track, especially with how positive and upbeat the trainers are! Definitely very beginner-friendly.

Been using it for almost 3 years now. Helps me stay in shape and in routine. Offers different programs with different types of workouts. I am only using the exercise part of it but it also has meal planning, mental health routines, sleep routines everything in one place. All in one fitness app. Well worth the subscription.
