2024-09-27 | Ryozi | Like most reviews I've read, I have the same issue; all the good features are locked. I saw a reply that mentioned matches can be found on the "swipe deck"; I checked and could not find it. So where EXACTLY is this swipe deck located on the BFF app? It's impossible to see who swiped right on your profile unless you pay. I shouldn't have to pay to find friends. That's absolutely absurd, and so are the prices for features that should be free. Oh and I should be able to filter the "plans"
2024-09-14 | Elliot Fogarty-Wittstein | The photo verification process was stated as an optional feature upon signing up. I then got locked out of my account and was unable to access it unless I submitted photo verification. After exchanging emails with support, they confirmed it is a mandatory feature unlike how they advertised. Personally I am not comfortable with my face being uploaded to a server and scanned with facial recognition technology. Edit: reply from the company addresses exactly nothing I mentioned in this review
2024-08-16 | ShayySadistic | I like the concept and I might have made a match but the biggest issue is having to pay to even see who liked you... Which kind of defeats the whole purpose of the app. Honestly would rather have ads. Please fix this. It's already hard enough to find friends as an adult, this was supposed to make it easier. P.S. don't respond with its free to swipe and match... Idc, if someone likes me, I would like to be able to see so I don't miss a potential match.
2024-07-27 | Mc | this app is always borked in some form or fashion. currently paid for a week of premium and haven't been able to get the app to load to respond to anyone. ----- edited to add: emailing customer service has been ABYSMAL. they have claimed they "cannot find my account" 4 times, now I'm stuck reopening new tickets trying to get someone who can read or charging back with my credit card company. NEVER AGAIN!!!
2024-07-14 | Angelica Ruiz | Forced to pay in order to see people. It'll show you have people who liked you but you have to upgrade and pay to see them. You can also only get notifications if your location is always on. You know where I'm based it was verified why make me keep it on everytime. Also I feel once your photos were verified you should be able to post other pictures to your profile. Like for example It can't have any photos that don't have your face on it. I wanted to put a meme. It will flag you.
2024-06-19 | V Anna Margittai | This app could be great, but there is a huge flaw: Push notifications are not automatically enabled when people download, so if you don't open your settings and enable notifications after you download, you'll never know you have a new message or match. Then, BFF app has made it so that if you don't respond to a message within 72 hours, you lose that match. So you go through all the process of setting it up, swiping through people, and then nobody responds. So disappointing.
2024-06-18 | L | The concept is good, but the design is poor. It is an app designed to find friends, which the creator makes impossible unless you're willing to pay their ridiculous monthly fee to be able to see who liked you and send more than a few messages. Forcing anyone that does not want to pay the fee to move to another platform to continue conversations. There are similar apps that are free and offer more, seek them out if you're reading this.
2024-06-11 | Tahni F | Notifications Quit Working. Every time I've downloaded Bumble or Bff the notications work as expected for weeks and then suddenly stop. No changes to my phone setting or the app setting happens to prompt this. I have contacted support multiple times, deleted and redownloaded, updated, etc. Nothing works. The point of the app is to communicate with others. I have taken all my contacts out of the app and will delete it since it is no longer useful.
2024-06-09 | AJ Rhymer | I'm pretty sure the usability is bad on purpose. I can't set my "Home" location for finding FRIENDS. (Yes, I def. want to find friends at more than one location, but at least let me switch it back to home while I'm away). Upside, there seems to be more people on this platform, that's it.
2024-05-11 | Jordan Fab | There's not a lot of very personal or informative ways of communicating about yourself through the app, not enough prompts & features. Unfortunately the guys appear to have relatively little variety in their profiles, & you're practically never presented potentials of the opposite gender (even though there are so many gender options). |
