| 2024-11-20 |  | | The app sucks. First of all, it doesn't have where you can print both sides to save on ink & paper. Second, it keeps coming up with an error Everytime i try to print something. Needs to be updated & fixed because i cant use anything else to print with. I pay to be able to print & i cant even do that most of the time. Thank you. Please listen to the reviews on here or i will contact you directly & it wont be very nice if i have to😡😡 |
| 2024-09-28 |  | | If I need one page printed out of a 50 page PDF, it's faster for me to drive to Staples, return the printer, and transcribe it by hand. Loads every page individually before giving the option to pick a range. It does everything the print option in Adobe Acrobat does (but at a tenth of the speed), and as a bonus it keeps trying to get you to buy an ink subscription. |
| 2024-09-28 |  | | 20 years as a software engineer and I have to say hats off to the devs of this app. The interface is simple and the scan payload is a straightforward PDF format. Makes me want to use the scanner again. Finding the printer is easy and I don't experience printer narcolepsy (won't wake-up). Only thing I found disappointing was the `feedback` section only had problems, no room for kudos. Here's five stars...until the next release. 😁 |
| 2024-07-10 |  | | Their printers are the best in the business, but this app cannot find it. Their iPrint&Scan app finds the printer quickly, but doesn't know what to do with it and tells me I have to use this app instead. Luckily, I happen to know the IP and entered it manually and then this app can figure it out. Also, this app has so many dark patterns trying trick the user into signing up for things they don't need and probably don't want. It's pretty shady. The printer itself is amazing though, as always. |
| 2024-07-09 |  | | I tried so many times but the machine would not get added to the app. Everything else went smoothly but just the last step is giving me nightmares. I uninstalled the app and re- installed it. Restarted phone, computer , printer everything but still no luck. I hope it's a bug that brother look into asap. |
| 2024-06-09 |  | | Their support for Linux is weak to be polite, so mobile app would be nice... but guess what? Sorry, you have to reconfigure the whole printer to use this app, and anyone else who wants to use this app, gets to configure the printer to use the app. It just cannot scan local wifi and detect the MAC of the printer and ask if it is the one you want. For the lack of fore mentioned defect in app logic, one star. |
| 2024-06-08 |  | | Would no connect to the printer. Watched videos on YouTube, restarted the pc and phone, and printer itself. Still wouldn't identify the printer to even begin the process. Going back to simpler Ptinters that are not this difficult to utilize. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I was warned by a friend who made the mistake of purchasing one of these printers... lesson learned. |

When I did install it, it refused to show up in my apps on my phone so I constantly have to open the play app search for it and open it from there. It is stupid! Fix it and I will give a better rating! What ever bug you think you just fixed.... wrong! Now I can't even print thru it at all! You do know how to program an app right? Or do I have to debug it FOR YOU! |
| 2024-02-14 |  | | Strange wifi connection behaviors. Printer wifi set up using the app worked fine. Only issue was printer would go offline occasionally and I'd have do forget machine/new set up to reconnect to wifi. This no longer works. Customer Support says it's because the printer only does 2.4ghz channel and my phone needs to use same (wifi is automatic, pain to switch back and forth). Not clear why something that worked ok for 1+ years no longer does. Quirky app is now useless. |
| 2023-11-22 |  | | Doesn't work well (or is not needed?) in Android 14 at the moment. Google's default Print Service and the Brother iPrint and Scan apps both found my printer with no problem. This used to work for me. Now when I try to set-up a printer, the app gives me a spinning circle forever. The app usage shows 0 bytes of network data used. It appears to be blocked from network access by the Android 14 security settings. I can't change the OS settings. Since I no longer need it, I'm uninstalling. |
