2024-11-27 | no name | settings are lacking and the app doesn't listen to what you set in the settings anyway. App was always auto filling every time I started tuping in the search bar even with every instance of autofill and autocomplete set to OFF. Just another one of the sites that is becoming scummy by pigeonholeing users into minimilist choices that mean nothing and are t followed anyway. Want to turn off ads, only intrusive ones, but they will let anything through that they want. redirects and popups. bad
2024-11-26 | Captain Arepa | It's been my main mobile browser for quite a while now (i.e. 4+ years) and it's gotten good, yes, but my main pet peeve, the thing that p*sses me off the most, is the annoying snack bar after closing a tab. It lasts like 30 seconds. It's too much time. I wish a close icon for the snack bar would be added. You can keep the snackbar open as long as you want guys, but we need that close button. So, until the close button for the snackbar is added, I'm giving you 4 stars π¬
2024-11-24 | me mine | Brave is an excellent browser. The tracker blocking is a very nice addition to a well laid out chromium based browser. Tab grouping is done well. The only issue I have right now is that sometimes some of my tab groups get moved around and since reopening the browser automatically takes you to the bottom of all the tab groups, it can be tedious to scroll all the way back up and find the one I'm looking for.
2024-11-24 | grainiac | unfortunate how much Google still has to be in the mix but we much appreciate the added buffer from spam and trackers. no connectivity or other problems. we find that we have to leave the browser open when we close down the computer or it gets rid of the tabs so that's slightly inconvenient but maybe it is necessary. overall good product.
2024-11-21 | Geist Von P.A. | I used this browser upon its initial release on the play store and loved it then, unfortunately I had to switch to a minimal browser when I changed phones but, I'm back with a better phone and back to Brave Browser. The Brave team is awesome with regular updates and willing to help solve problems that may arise. Keep up the great work, Team.
2024-11-19 | Samuel Opiyo | Too big, but stabe from crashes , good in ad filtering. it keeps taking more and more storage space the more you use it. I give a 4.0 rating. On speed, it is fast, but I would like to see it faster & smaller. There are one or two I know of here that are faster than brave, and they are very slim. About 1.9 MB
2024-11-19 | tiny tin man | Edit: fixed the black screen issue but removing Youtube videos from my watch later playlist doesnt remove them unless I back out of the page. I have to do that for every video, making it inconvenient to do so in app. Update: still having that issue, and now I also cant scroll through my watch later list on Youtube. Gets stuck on loading circle no matter what. Tried clearing cache, restarting internet, and closing app, but to no avail.
2024-11-17 | Matthew Harris | Update broke URL copy / paste. It now clears everything and you can't copy the website. Stop dumbing it down for zoomers & boomers. It's not hard to hold finger down, select all, and delete. Update a month later: - Can't open in new tab. It now opens a popup window & asks if you want to share it with a friend... - Can't play videos. Screen goes to sleep but plays audio in the background. - Looks like some DEI hire has added a bunch of bunch of dumbed down iOS-like boomer/zoomer/goyim slop
2024-11-16 | Daniel Picardo | Great browser with functional similarities and crossover with Chrome, and enough aesthetic options to make it look very similar to Chrome or to be very different! Excellent privacy options, to include built-in ad and cookie blocking, but that is where two downsides crop up: some web pages don't work correctly because of the way Brave rejects cookies, and the Brave search engine often returns limited results, so I have to use Chrome or another search engine on those occasions.
2024-11-13 | Jon Sanderson | I love this app. I've tried a few similar apps but I always ended up going back to Google. old habits and all. Have is nearly identical in user interface which I love. also great that your personal information and browsing habits are more private. Pro tip- it allows you to listen to YouTube with your screen off. that alone is a great reason to give it a try. the only gripe I have is, when searching for photos, less photos appear, so sometimes I have to switch riser elsewhere. |
