Ignoring the fact that you are required to use this app to control multiple speakers at once (and the speakers sound fine but are otherwise junk), the UI/UX for this app is atrocious. There is a reason Bose hasn't updated in over a year. Do not buy speakers that require you to use this app. | |

Followed the how to's and it will not connect. I have a high-end router and tested the connection. It shows up in the list on router but not the app. VERY disappointed. | |
2024-10-22 | Pin Up | UPDATE: 3 years later.. Same issues. Except the CD player had stopped working and it would have cost wayyyyy too much to send it out for WEEKS. So now I have a busted system they won't stand behind, and the pandora app still doesn't work consistently. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING BOSE AGAIN. Nice sound system... terrible app. Literally never works anymore and I've given up pairing every time I want to change the station on pandora. For the money we pay for Bose, they should work properly. | |
2024-10-20 | Sara Viscardi | Totally disappointed, I have a SA-5 speakers and Amplifier system, with no remote control except for this application , and it works bad. I have to set everything likes day one once a week or more, because Amplifier loses the connection, Lan option it never worked, and wi-fi option the only available is really poor. For the brand was supposed to be and the amount I bought for this stuff I really expected something better. I'm thinking to sell everything and buy something else. Bose nevermore | |

2024-09-26 | Ben Kraus | I've had numerous soundtouch speakers for years now and this app has always been spotty. Just yesterday it stopped playing my SiriusXM channels on my sound touch speakers. My account is current and SiriusXM works via the SiriusXM app and works in the car, but soundtouch app no longer works. Disappointing as I've spent thousands on soundtouch speakers, sound bars and subwoofers. Anyone at Bose want to assist me in restoring this service? It has worked fine for years, until yesterday. | |
2024-06-03 | William Stewart | App can't remember its own bose products. I have to add my system to the wifi network almost every other day and most times it doesn't even work. So frustrating! System works fine with TV but i have all my devices and PC connected through CEC using eARC so if I'm using my media server or PC on TV, forget it! I usually end up having to remove device I need and directly connecting to the TV via HDMI. Giving in and buying a network hub. But I shouldn't have to as much as this system cost over $3K! | |
2024-05-30 | Chris Kiernan | Bose device modals are not working. Soundtouch Main and Soundtouch 10.1 Cannot be controlled through the app (this is the second screenshot available in the view). This prevents me from using the "all play" and controlling the different devices. I am on Samsung s24 ultra with Android 14. This was working a week ago. It does work on iOS devices. Is there a configuration setting that needs to be updated? Are there other app options that do the same ? | |
2023-02-08 | Orlando Galvez | Latest update pairs "BOTH" speakers simultaniously... Bravo! And bluetooth pairing is even easy to accomplish regardless if you are tech savy or tech traumatized like me. The app used to be very unreliable in 2014 when I first began using it. Today, in 2023? It is a whole new, better and so much more user friendly experience. My anxiety at every opening of it is almost all gone. We'll see if it lasts. Time will tell. Time will tell indeed. 2023-01-19 | Douglas Vaughan | 6 years on and there isn't a day a don't regret investing in this abomination. Bose claims to have features that aren't there. Update/setup is arduous at best. The sound quality is great, but getting them to work is like teaching a toddler to drive. As soon as you got everything set, they change something. Ugh... What a waste of existence. 01\19\22. Updated still a dumpster fire of broken promises. |
