Bose discontinued the hearphone.. this was a major mistake. There is no other available hearing assist device so powerful for severe hearing impaired people. My hearing loss was too severe for their new hearing aid line, but not for the headphone. Cumbersum; sure a little, but the price and effectivenes made it a winner.
Easy to use, but I wish the aids had more frequency control, namely separate bass, midrange and treble adjustments. I think Bose wanted to keep it extremely simple (a single adjustment for frequency control is as simple as it gets) but most people can handle bass, midrange and treble on a stereo, why not on hearing aids too? I need a boost on bass and treble, and there's no way to do that. Still, I get better speech discrimination with these than with any prior aids I've used, so I'm happy.
Doesn't work with the Bose hearing aids. This isn't surprising since after 10 or so years of updating the headphones app it still never reliably works, it disconnects and forgets the headphones, doesn't play well with any other Bluetooth devices and the hearing aids app is basically the same. Either this technology is inherently impossible to apply or the engineers at Bose are super incompetent after a decade of trying.
