2024-07-07 | Matthew Schmidt | Update: blank screen every time it opens. There was already no point in using this app over going to the website, now it's completely unusable. Not so much an app as a browser that only goes to their site. Limited functionality and worse user experience as compared to older versions.
2024-06-16 | Brian Durr | This is no longer an actual app, it simply shows their mobile website & is available in the app store. It even notified me when I opened it that it was running in Chrome Beta (my default browser), would show up in my browser history, etc. Uninstalling to free up the storage space on my phone - and because it's pointless.
2024-01-19 | Rich Morris | The Android app sucks, I give up, can't login with my account so what's the point... On my iphone it's fine, works great. Not sure why the Android version doesn't work, but it's annoying. Just uninstalled it. EDIT: Only took 4yrs but installed today and it works. It may be due to the fact I buy the newest Samsung flagship phone every year. It's possible the app works better on older devices. Still works on my iPhone 12 pro, but I obviously only upgrade my business phone (Apple) every few years.
2023-04-21 | M L | Just a glorified web browser that takes you to the mobile version of the b&h site. Which means there's literally no reason to have this installed over just loading the site on your phone. If anything, the website when loaded on mobile Firefox is more responsive. You can't really tell on the screenshots because it appears to have been cropped out, but there's even a browser header that shows the page url and menu button that proclaims "Powered by Firefox" 🤷
2023-02-12 | Michael Browne | This used to be one of the best store-specific apps out there, and not just compared to direct competitors in the retail electronics market. Now it's basically just a container for their mobile website. You literally see it inside whatever your default web browser is (Firefox, Chrome, whatever). If I wanted the mobile website in Firefox, I'd open Firefox and go to their mobile website.
2022-02-03 | Jacob Golds | The B&H app used to be amazing about a year ago. Now it's getting worse with each update. Used to be an amazing experience finding products it felt like an app. Now it's like a unstable web browsing experience. The photo viewing is very bad. You can't swipe from one picture to the next after you opened a picture in full view. And when going back from an opened image it takes you out of the product page. And you can't scroll down to see other products. I hope to come back soon changing to a 5 st
2021-10-17 | David Hancock | Update: the app is still a mess but at least I can log in most of the time. Checking out is highly unreliable and often causes the app to lock up and crash. Sometimes I can get it working by force stopping it, others I have to uninstall and reinstall. Basically, I think uninstalling this is best and using the desktop interface instead of the path forward. Why this was ever changed from the previous version is a mystery because that app was great.
2021-09-29 | TK LEE | I had really bad experience with the newer version of the app, it crash a lot, and take more time to load the product photos. I don't understand how can a newer version worse than older version. It feel like I'm not using app but like opening in my browser, the older version got better ui and more smooth browsing experience.
2021-09-12 | Matthew Kellum | I despise the new app. The previous version had a much better UI, it was more intuitive, didn't crash, didn't freeze, organized better, doesn't make me refresh after each search saying it can't find anything, doesn't get stuck scrolling all the time and make me reboot it, didn't sign me out all the time and more. The old app did everything better whereas this new version does everything worse. I absolutely despise this new app. I had zero complaints before but now I have so, so many.
2021-08-24 | Jason Pereira | I can't for the life of me understand why B&H refuses to have a nice interface. The last one was fine, but this new one is built more like a desktop website than an app, and it really hinders the user experience. B&H is a good company, and I recommend using it, but this app is unacceptable. Y'all need to hire some people who know how to make phone apps. Also, stop linking customer service. The only way you can fix our problems is changing back to the old interface, tech support can't do that |
