2024-05-24 | James Kitchen | So, game play is just as I remember it, but there are two issues that are seriously annoying. First: I cannot play 'Eye of the Beholder' at all. Loading the mod brings up a screen that says "this mod was created using a newer version of Neverwinter Nights, download the newer version.". But; there is no newer version to download. The second issue is the targeting, all the quickslots are slightly off, as are the first row of inventory slots. Overall, decent game even after all this time.
2023-10-28 | John Cox | *edit* There has been a fix to this issue that is being tested. Thank you beamdog team for you work! So until today I have enjoyed the nostalgia. But now I'm at a point no matter where or what I'm playing if the game tries to save in any way it crashes. I have reinstalled the game twice. I have sorted through setting and files but cannot find the source of the issue any help would be greatly appreciated. As of right now it is completely unplayable due to this issue. Which makes me sad.
2023-02-14 | Skittlez | I'm giving this app a five-star because I've been playing it since 2003 PC version, I have it on my phone now and it's been working great for weeks and all of a sudden it crashes and tells me that there's a bug and I need to contact at the developer. I can't log into a server without it crashing, it gets to the server list and that's it and then it crashes and tells me that there's a bug fix this please 🥺
2022-08-13 | Brennan | At first, I thought the buttons just didn't work when trying to make a character. When I got into the game, I realized that I have to tap to the right of everything to actually register. For menu icons and stuff, clicking directly on an icon will click the icon to the left. Very frustrating to remember to purposely mis-tap in order to actually tap something. Also, the dialogue boxes are directly under the camera notch, and get cut off.
2022-02-14 | Jason Dillinger | The game is no different than the original computer version in 2000 in terms of gameplay, with a few exceptions. But this isn't a bad thing, they have updated some of the character models, remastered some of the dlc, and the game runs smoother now than it ever has. The game was buggy back in 2000, the devs have done unparalleled work with this game, it's worth the money, worth the try. I don't have the world's fastest or most updated Android, yet the game runs well with graphics on almost high.
2021-07-30 | Robert K (Incognito Sapiens) | Buggy version of a beloved classic game. Crashes upon loading Charwood without fail. Crashes upon loading Coldwood without fail, which then makes progress impossible. I would use console commands to bypass this issue, but can't find the map names using Android. Tried to the same result on multiple characters with different builds. No progress is possible with Coldwood bugged. Please, please fast track a fix. I'm not the only one having the same issues, it's in the forums as well.
2021-01-08 | Michael Brown (KnightMB) | The conversion from the classic PC to Android is actually quite nice when it works. The problem I and many other people are having is that the best part of the game, multiplayer, does not work because of this common issue we all have "Attempting to Recover Your Multiplayer CD Key". If you are able to copy a key from another working device, then everything works great, I would have given this 5 stars, but until the developers can fix this common issue we all have, I'll have to just leave it at 3 stars since the single player campaign does work and playable.
2020-12-09 | Michael Davenport | Okay so its literally Neverwinter Nights, but its on your phone. Gameplay is identical to how it is on PC. The UI has some very minor design changes to facilitate playing on a touchscreen but I've never felt like I had to struggle with it, its very natural. One request: this has no support for DeX mode, which came as a surprise considering that this game was ported from desktop PCs. Being able to use the classic PC interface when a mouse/keyboard is detected would be very convenient.
2020-10-06 | Dallas Longden | This is a great port, I think it was definitely worth the money. I do have a couple complaints however so I only give 4 stars. Issue one is that the wizard class freezes the game when attempting to copy a spell from a scroll to the spell book. Secondly, the roots spell seems to cause incredible lag as the device seems unable to process all the root tenticles making the game hard to play after entering the spirit realm forest and after. Overall though, I love the game.
2020-09-23 | Michael | Not a bad Android adaptation. If you're not using a tablet however, prepare for a really tiny UI. This version is almost identical to the PC version, aside from the mobile controls. The redesigned UI for mobile isn't horrible, it's just hard to use on a small screen. Other than that, this is a solid buy for mobile and will most likely give many hours of enjoyment. Another added bonus is this game can be played cross platform with other players online. There are still a bunch of active servers. |
