Every time I've come back to this game I've felt I've found a better way to enjoy this fantastic port, I've noticed plesent QoL changes sense the initial re-release. I feel the developers of this really captures the feeling that playing with Lego's did as a kid, and how the digital age would be able to create an even more engaging imaginative experience. IMO

First time I played it everything was fine, second time the screen is off calibration and cannot be fixed. How do I get refund? Game is unplayable. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked fine the first time I played. I turned off the game and did things IRL and came back to it for the freaking calibration to be off again!! This is nonsense! I have a Moto g stylus 2022

I bought this years ago and was frustrated by the controls, I was so wrong. It takes a while to get it since there is no tutorial but it's worth it. It's nice that it has a casual and hardcore options so you could tweak the game to your playstyle. Definitely gonna checkout Baldurs gate 1&2 now.

This game has lost access to the data folder for over 2 years now, and we would like to know when will the fix on the permissions be done. The game is great as is, but the great thing about all these releases was the ability to modify the games on android devices. I hope there was a breakthrough recently, because this should be pushed as a hotfix or similar, rather than wait for the next major update.

I got really far into the game and was really enjoying the experience, until I encountered a very inconvenient bug that makes the game completely unplayable. I can no longer target characters by selecting on their portrait. Spellcasting also drops the function completely while trying to target who's recieving the spell, which puts you into a loop of reopening the spell tab and clicking the spell over and over again until it works. If this is fixed, I will change my review to 5 stars for sure.

Recent changes to Android has restricted access to the app data folder. So you are not able to use custom portraits, sounds, character files, or even share or backup saves. This was a fun feature, and I'm really sad it can't be used on android. I hear a patch is in the works, but that was hinted at a long time ago, and still there is nothing.

This is a great game. I was a little hesitant to buy it given some of the negative reviews but been playing for a few days (on my 4th map area) and it's working fine. One minor gripe is that I think there's a bug with learning spell rolls which I've just emailed the dev about. I loved Baldurs gate 2 when I was younger and had previously played this one but much less thoroughly and finding it works well on the phone - epic but also good to quickly save and dip in and out of

Love the game and port. However got a new phone and was unable to transfer my old game saves between phones as the game data is saved under internal storage/android/data which is restricted under android 11 (so unable to paste on to the new phone) tried via pc, tried over 7 file apps on the app store, none worked. Shame since I sunk hours into iwdee and in particular the baldurs gate games

It's impressive how well this works on a phone. Playing on a 5.7 inch screen and only have a few usability issues. There doesnt appear to be a way to orient your formation when moving as a group, but that's about the only loss of functionality I've found. A bigger problem is how dark the game is a lot of the time. Would be nice to have some features from BG2 EE like empty chests being greyed out. Having a BG2 content for PCs makes the game easier so consider difficulty setting. Great overall.

This is the android port of the Enhanced Edition version of the classic CRPG "Icewind Dale", developed by Black Isle Studio (using their Infinity Engine) and set in the world of Dungeons and Dragons' "Forgotten Realm". This game play similar with other Infinity Engine games like the "Baldur's Gate" series and "Planescape: Torment". Beamdog's Enhanced Edition version applied the Baldur Gate 2 EE mechanics, which means more class and kit choices, more proficiency and skills, and an overall improvement from the original "Icewind Dale's" gameplay. The Android port is as expected from Beamdog's professional work: it is pretty functional playing it on mobile phones (as far as I am concern, I have zero issues), with Beamdog's conveniences employed making the gameplay smoother and more intuitive than before. As always it is more advisable to play this on a tablet with larger screen than on your smartphone especially since you will need to read a lot of text and interact with a lot of small objects and cramped interface. As for the game itself, "Icewind Dale" is known as the more action-oriented series of the Infinity Engine game collection. The story, which acts more like a background than a motivating driving force, is pretty linear (albeit it has some very (VERY) minor sidequests). While it is not bad per se, it's not on the "Planescape: Torment" or "Baldur's Gate" level, so don't expect an epic narrative. Still the story gives you a sense of adventure. If you love the Icewind Dale novel series, particularly the adventures of Drizzt Do'Urden, then this game is like a home-coming with the familiar locations and beastiaries of the Spine of the World. Gameplay is more focus on party management, squad-base combat tactics, and effective utilization of specialization, as it throws you dungeons after dungeons full of of varied hostile monsters. The presentation is classic isometric crpg, with nice pre-rendered environments that still looks good by today's graphic standard. The sound effect is okay, (nothing really special), the music is very good. All the original expansions and cut contents are here (as far as I know) so that's very nice value for money considering that Beamdog regulary hold sales. Despite the relatively less epic story compare to its other IE counterparts, there are still tons of replayabilities to be found here. You can try switching gamestyle between role-playing or powergaming, and/or challenging yourself using unconventional party compositions or handicapped solo-run in various difficulty modes. Overall the game and the port is 4.5/5 stars for me (rounded-up to 5 because of the very big discount sale).
