2024-11-26 | Kaze Kundo | It is absolutely not playable on Samsung z fold 6, which is like a tablet. The clicks are misaligned. If I tap on the screen, it would click on a space 2 cm below the spot where I click. Edited: figured out how to fix it. Changed my screen aspect ratio to 4:3 in settings and the above problem is gone! Fantastic game otherwise!
2024-11-11 | Robert Smith | Even beginner friendly id what you're looking for, look elsewhere. The tutorial for this game sucks. Five minutes into the tutorial, and I'm stuck on casting a spell on Belt, since the tutorial didn't bother to show me which button is the button I'm looking for. I'm not about to play trial and error at every step of the "learning" process.
2023-08-14 | Shane Scott | Works Great - Do not listen to people complaining about the UI, they haven't figured out how to adjust the font text (an option) and while the buttons aren't half the size of the screen they aren't too small to press unless you have ogre hands I guess. Great game, glad it's on mobile.
2023-03-10 | Donovan “Sithmobias1” | Edit: My review of 4 years ago was pretty rough! I had forgotten that, when I first got it, it was completely unplayable for me. 4 years later, I'm glad that I kept the purchase. Aspect ratio is, unfortunately, not doable on my phone; however, it's great on my tablet! Wonderful port of a great game!
2022-12-13 | luther olah | Seems like false advertising to me. It's advertised as BG:EE, but it's just the original BG. None of the EE characters are present where they should be. I've checked the settings and don't see an option to change between the two versions. As for it being the original BG port, it's a great port of a classic game. Some minor bugs, but I haven't experienced anything terrible or game breaking. Just disappointed it's not actually the EE version
2021-09-02 | Donald Moore | Can't seem to get the characters portraits on the right side of the screen to appear rendering the game all together unplayable imo. this app needs an update for newer devices. I was so happy to see this title for only 1.99 it's just too bad it doesn't work on my device love this game love and was planing to dl the rest of the series along with it if this version worked but as things stand I don't think I'll spend the money on the sequel.
2020-10-03 | John Marr | Almost as magical as playing it for the first time on the ol' family computer in '99. On a 6.4" screen w 4GB onboard memory I had only a few minor issues. Zooming in and out is a bit clunky on a smartphone, selecting tiny hidden treasures can be frustrating without a stylus, and the background highlight feature on the region map kills my frame rate. Other than that, it's one of the absolute best ports to Android of any roleplaying game out there.
2020-04-16 | A Google user | Big map to explore, every quest is rewarding and interesting with a great back story! And not just rewarding in the "heres XP and gold" way, there are different rewards like reputation, weapons, spells, companions, discovering new locations, and more! Full in depth character customization that can change how you play and companions and weapons you can use, so the game also has great replay value. Everything from characters to the smallest side quests are in depth, interesting, and rewarding! BUY
2020-04-15 | A Google user | It is an awesome game! It hits the DND feel right on the dot, and it's baldurs gate just more accessible! I have experienced a few bugs, but they either have been patched or are well known ones with a workaround (such as killing the necromancer when he's not casting a spell). I have a small phone, so it's a bit harder to control, but I knew what I was getting into and it's still possible! It's harder to navigate on a small phone, but I'm fine with it. Amazing game overall, I'd recommend it!
2020-03-11 | A Google user | Game crashes whenever you try and open area map anywhere besides a building or the smaller sized areas between towns. Even opening the map for Candlekeep [not exactly a huge area] crashed the game. With Area Map Background disabled, the map opens with aforementioned smaller areas, but bigger areas still crash the game every time. This is very disheartening, I can't imagine this is that hard of a fix, especially when this wasn't a problem when i played the game on same tablet 2 years ago |
