2024-12-17 | Chris Fox | The main problem with this app (although there are a few) is that it deletes payees from the list on the account - without even notifying the customer, let alone asking for permission to do so. Barclays have actually admitted to me that it's an I.T. issue at their end, but they appear to have done nothing to resolve the problem. Therefore, I've withdrawn my funds and I'm about to delete the app. Contrary to Barclays reply here, payees are often removed well BEFORE the thirteen month 'limit'. | |
2024-12-17 | Linda Baker | Struggled with the new design for pay or transfer section. In fact, I couldn't pay the person. I had to pay her mother and ask her to forward the money!! Before the new design, the names that I often pay used to appear, and I just had to click on the desired name. Now, only four names come up. !! | |
2024-12-14 | Michael | The App has been updated and now I can't find previous payees or add new ones so I am now unable to transfer money. When I called the helpline I was told payee details are only kept for a year then deleted. This is nonsense as I have had some for many years and two of them were less than 3 months old. I was told there might be a glitch on the App. I rang again and a recorded message said that for transfers you have to re-enter the payee details, but I can't because that option is not available | |
2024-12-13 | Steve Birch | The app just stopped working a few weeks ago. When I try to log in using my finger print, the error code 00002 comes up. I want to avoid having to uninstall and reinstall as it is quite a long process. My phone is a modern model - a Samsung galaxy s23 ultra. My WiFi is working fine and the app is up to date. I have cleared the cache, using the Barclays tool was of no help. | |

Ability to pay in cheques very useful and I like the notifications when money is paid out of the account. Recommended. Updating review Nov 2024. App still fit for purpose and I find it easy to use. So easy to operate - efficient and simple, with lots of unexpected surprising extra features to help one make decisions and acquire info on options. Really everything one needs, with alerts being sent on spend. Only issue appears to be that overdraft alerts are delayed by a day! | |
2024-12-05 | Victoria Broom | Transactions do not show instantly on account like other banking apps, so you have to calculate your new total balance manually if you need it then and there. You can't copy and paste figures, so have to type manually which actually increases risk of errors. And because you have to flick between tabs to copy numbers across manually sometimes it times out on you! For such a major bank I am quite disappointed, acknowledging my expectations were high. | |

I am unable to log in on quite a number of occasions due to ? technical fault, only to recieve a message afterwards that the app is now working. Maintenance should be done during the least traffic hours. Unfortunately despite updates, the app remains unreliable for transactions. I had to use my alternative banking apps . Re review 2024 same old, same old. App still very unreliable. Never been able to deposit a check via app . | |
2024-12-02 | Delphine Breese-Laughran | Just got welcome page and nothing else. I did eventually get the app loaded and some time after that it started working properly. I have been using the Barclays laptop version for years with few glitches. I haven't used the phone app because I don't think it is wise to advertise which bank I use on something as easy to steal as a mobile phone but I am travelling without my laptop and need to see my accounts so I wanted to down load the phone app. It did, eventually, work. |
