2024-11-25 | Stephen Broberg | Getting buggier every week. Replacement for BeyondPod, bur I've never gotten the auto download and auto playlist to work even once. I have to refresh manually and add episodes one at a time. It's constantly telling me to take it off the Optimized app list, and it has never been on it. It would, usually once every hour or two, skip backwards 20 or 30 seconds. Now it's jstopping after a minute or two and I have to keep resuming playback. Devs, this is not rocket science. I paid for this.
2024-11-25 | Space Anarchist | This app has the best features of any podcast player I've found. It's complicated to learn how to use, but once you do you can organize your podcasts, sort them in any order, and control a large number of settings. I was able to add almost all of my regular podcasts and even YouTube channels.
2024-11-25 | Alec McCardell | I've been using this app for years and I won't use another podcast player, the interface takes a little getting used to but after years of use I've never had an issue and the sleep timer works better than any other app I've used. You can do so much customization it's worth the minute or two it takes to familiarize yourself
2024-11-21 | Buddy Bair | Not a bad app. Everything seemed to work proper. Scrolling bar on wrong side ...would choose scrolling when clicking eps options alot and would never grab scrolling bar on purpose. Only thing in whole app that didn't work perfectly. Allows for downloading automatically good setting options for that. Pretty much of pick your podcasts set up your setting preferences and it will do the rest. Check out "Space Nuts" podcast if you want accurate non click bait astronomy news. Call it my show.
2024-11-18 | Zaryn Dunn | Great app with just about every feature you can think of. Just wish there was a desktop app that could sync with the mobile app. I switch back and forth too much to have to manually find the episode of each show and my progress within. Edit 11/18, episodes keep skipping around and either repeating parts or skipping sections and cutting off episodes. Hard to keep using.
2024-11-16 | Justin Ryan | Due to the player randomly stopping all the time on my previous phone, I switched to cast box. Unfortunately cast box is terrible. So I switched back to podcast addict for my current temp phone and it has the same problem of the player randomly stopping. Hopefully that won't be an issue on my new Note 9 coming next week or I may need to look for a new app again. Updated review since they helped me solve the issues I was having at that time
2024-11-06 | Superman_13 | Sometimes it's fine. Most times it will play for a minute or two then just stops. It doesn't continue after some time. It's as if it force closes. Also, not all episodes of most podcast are available through this app. Specifically, This American Life, when a new episode comes out an old one disappears. Developer claims if it's not there it's not a podcast. 845 episodes made only 21 available at any given time.
2024-11-02 | Christine Leininger | Mostly okay, but recently I've been having trouble with the playlist feature. I made a playlist that includes only certain episodes from an RSS feed, but it won't autoplay. This basically makes the playlist feature worthless to me, and I ended up downloading another app entirely just to get this functionality.
2024-11-01 | J Varni | Used to be a fantastic app, but since the last couple updates, it's horrible. Doesn't save where you are in an episode, can't go back to the list from the episode anymore so you have to scroll or search for every single episode, and the playback has random glitches that skip around the episodes now. My guess is the tried to be cheap and used "AI" instead of doing it right, and broke their own product.
2024-10-28 | Cy Morris | I've been using the app for a few years now and almost never had any issues. The only think I can think of is that there are so many ways to customize settings that it can get a little confusing what specific settings will apply to each individual podcast. Maybe add a way to view "effective settings" or something. But that's a pretty good problem to have for an app. I just bought the premium subscription not because I need it, but because I think the dev. deserves it. |
