2023-06-07 | Benjamin Gau | Wonderful app and functions as described, but the Treasure notifications never function properly. When I load the app, I might go to the "Treasure" tab or receive a notification about having "Treasure." If I go to the tab or click the notification, I'll receive another notification about having "Treasure" about 1 sec later. Again, great app, but the double sending of notifications is irritating
2023-03-20 | Jessica | Don't put anything in there you want back out like notes or growth stats! You can only get an export file if you pay. I tried subscribing. The payments were tripled through Google pay and PayPal and then credited back but I was never given access to the additional features. I contacted support and with back and forth messages it has taken 15+ days to resolve and they can't troubleshoot payment issues so by resolve, I mean giving me a backup file so I can delete the app.
2022-12-24 | Kevin Goodsell | A solid experience with minor issues. It does not link to any other social media, and instead sends invites via email, which cannot be rescinded or resent, meaning if they miss the email there's no way for the parent to resend the invite. Desktop access, linking to social media, and partnering with someone like Shutterfly for gifts would be a huge quality of life improvement. But for now, the pricing is fair and the app is slick and private, so it gets the job done.
2022-03-02 | Kenneth Brown | I love everything about this app. From simple date stamping of each picture from birth (which I'd never do) to the ability to install on my 90 y/o grandmothers phone and all she has to do is touch the icon and shake the phone then gets to watch a mashup of photos of her grandchildren through the years. I rank finding this app more rewarding than finding our favorite diapers/wipes/clothing company etc. Its easy, includes everyone. What more can you ask for?
2022-02-05 | Brian Carp | The Timeline and upload convenience are stellar for this app. I'm dissatisfied with the 'What's New' feature because it's almost all favoriting by family members who ❤️ *every* single picture, and I have to scroll forever to see recent uploads and comments. The one thing that could make this a five-star app is if there were filters that could be applied to 'What's New' such that I could see all activity by default but then have the ability to filter out favorites and see just new uploads.
2021-05-17 | Tammy Shen | Our family loves this app. For the older generation you are still able to view all the pictures from a computer on a large screen which is more preferred by them. And i love how it is like a cloud storage with time stamps to see your child grow. The random treasures feature is always a nice touch to look back on.
2021-04-20 | Kim K | We love this app. I purchased the subscription because I needed more space so I did not have to delete memories (and I don't see any ads). We started using it four years ago when it was called Lifecake. The transition to BackThen was seamless. We just added a new grandchild's profile. This is a perfect way to share memories with family and friends privately and not on social media.
2021-03-22 | Kristin Herrin | I love this app to store my children's pictures. They are in chronological order and show the child's age or the date if multiple kids in pic. You can also export the pictures all at once or download singles. Only people invited can view it! It has been great for my grandparents to keep up with the kids. They are not tech savy and have had no problem accepting the invite or viewing the pictures. Worth every dollar!
2021-02-28 | Simone Rossi | I cannot upload files while the app is running in the background, otherwise the uploads fail. When the files are large this means that I need to wait forever on the app without having the chance of using the phone for something else: in this case I also need to be careful not to have the automatic screen lock.
2021-02-20 | Leslie Smith | Love this app so much. Easy way to share pictures with close friends and family. It's also great for relatives to add pictures they take of the kids. The app also tells you how old the child was in the picture. Time flies with little ones and capturing all the memories in one place is awesome! |
