2024-12-17 | Aaron Bell | One of the ball catches freezes the game periodically. The ball will pass through objects randomly, including flippers, the ball is not calibrated for the board and will randomly change directions that is not in the direction of travel such as when hitting an angle at velocity which should travel up unimpeded, it changes direction to down.
2024-12-11 | Lola Ocian | I loved the Windows version back in the day. Unfortunately, there are too many quirks and glitches that make this version really frustrating to play. To start, you only get 2 balls per play. Never in the history of pinball has it been 2 balls. But I get it, they want you to watch ads for the 3rd ball. Whatever. The real issue I have is when I earn replays or extra balls through game play, and the app doesn't honor them. I will earn a replay and it still ends my game when I lose the ball. Lame.
2024-11-25 | Kiazoku t | Would be 5 starts, but there are a few bugs. The ball gets stuck in the black hole almost every time, causing it to respond at the top. The right most bumpers collision is messed up. The ball often falls right through it. Otherwise, a great recreation of a classic game.
2024-11-02 | Autobot Soldier | I enjoyed this game as a kid, although the lack of the ball making clacking noises makes me miss the original game. And the black hole part keeps making the ball disappear, they fixed that by making the ball reappear at the top of the board. The ads are not intrusive, only appearing when you get a game over and start a new game. Overall, not a bad mobile port for a game I loved 20 years ago.
2024-10-23 | trevor peterson | Very nostalgic, but there are some issues. Having a banner ad at the bottom of the screen where you tap to activate the flippers is scummy. Put the ad at the top so players don't get screwed over. The physics of the ball are a little too loose compared to the original. Please fix this!
2024-09-25 | Cody Paniwozik | Pure nostalgia. Update bringing my review from 5 to 3 stars because it's becoming apparent the game has been coded to throttle the score. I've noticed that if your score increases sharply the ball will noticeably slow down and gravitate towards the bottom unnaturally. Additionally some bumpers will not trigger despite the ball sitting directly on it. The mission accept ramp becomes unnaturally hart to hit once you hit the mission select bumpers and the mission targets even harder to hit.
2024-09-24 | Josh Bartling | It's an okay port. If you play it you need to throw out any muscle memory from the original. The gravity on the ball is lighter than the original. And with every successive bumper it they weaken. To the point if you hit a bumper it won't throw the ball at all, just fall and you'll lose. Glitches are super prone hitting the wormhole. A nasty glitch happens if you quickly hit a mission and the ramp and it forces you to redo the whole thing. Only 2 balls. Just play on pc
2024-09-18 | Josh Gavroy | Too many problems to have fun. The physics don't feel great, so it's hard to judge where the ball will bounce. The flippers are way too long so you can't aim shots accurately. The ball gets stuck and has to reset at the top pretty frequently. Nostalgic to look at but not a good implementation.
2024-08-27 | Smittywarbenjaegermanjensen | Hyperspace sounds don't exist, looped song rather than full, flag hitbox is too large, ball and arms are smaller, blackhole doesn't work, lights and mission points also reset when they aren't supposed to after ball falls out, arms also only launch ball vertically, launch ramp is also smaller, re-entry lights deactivate when passed through again which also isn't supposed to happen. I imagine none of this is going to get fixed. It's good for cheap nostalgia, other than that it's unplayable.
2024-08-18 | Jeremy Myrtle | I've loved this game since my Windows XP days! There are some issues, though. Some of the original sound effects are missing, the ball glitches out when it hits the black hole sometimes, there's no high scores and you only have 2 balls of play instead of 3 unless you watch an ad. Other than that, it's great! |
