| 2024-11-17 |  | | The AVG Secure VPN has worked great, but what I don't like is that it conflicts with the VPN that originally came bundled with the AVG Antivirus. I turned off that version (and kept on Secure VPN), but I am constantly getting alerts stating that "VPN is disconnected" even though Secure VPN is connected. Confused by what I just said? Well, welcome to my world of confusion. 😂 Other than that little hiccup, I think AVG is doing a good job! |
| 2024-10-03 |  | | Apps often don't download while VPN is active, it disconnects frequently, streaming often doesn't work or uses mobile data intermittently even when in WiFi. Not impressed with performance. 2024 update: it worked well for a while, but recently apps have stopped working while VPN is on. I've tried Gotham City and other locations with the same result. Not sure what has changed recently, but I will be cancelling my subscription and not coming back to this VPN in the future. |
| 2024-07-16 |  | | I like the VPN part. It works really well, EXCEPT for when I want to open something from my cell carrier and it won't open the browser at all. Very frustrating. Other times, I have to turn out completely off in order to access trusted websites that it just doesn't like. Very frustrating. |
| 2024-05-28 |  | | Many websites do not open or give security errors that require you to authenticate. "Are you a robot" thing....Faster to disconnect wifi and use cell network. A follow-up: I appreciate the contact by AVG, but I don't feel it's my job to figure this out. As others have also noted the same issues, it's repeatable, and the error is more than likley with phone location service conflicting with server location. |
| 2024-05-14 |  | | For past years, I've been using Avg Secure VPN. In the beginning, the interface with local and VPN Secure VPN wasn't working correctly. I had difficulty finding it to sync with each other. I finally figured it out. I have the AVG Secure VPN control while the local is off but connected to the hot spot just in case. I'm might be mistaken. So far, it is working fine |
| 2024-02-15 |  | | EDIT 02-15-24: I did as you advised and cleared out all memory, then uninstalled/reinstalled app just to make sure. This seems to have worked so far. I'm going to give four stars now, because the update shouldn't have caused this! 02-06-24 update sucks... (1 star) Started receiving "your wi-fi network is being watched" messages when connected to my trusted network and the VPN is turning on. LOCATION PERMISSION SHOWS "ALLOW ALL THE TIME"!!! This did not happen prior to the update!!! |
| 2023-11-07 |  | | Very sporadic when attempting connection... Doesn't stay connected when it does, and will disconnect on its own without notice. I'm actually surprised I haven't been hacked as of yet! AVG consistently asks for ratings, and feedback which has been provided, but never received a reply to THIS issue!! it appears AVG presents a"New" feature to their software every few weeks, but I suggest they work out the bugs first, before moving onto the new stuff! Unfortunately, a (1/2) ⭐ isn't an option 😡 |
| 2023-02-03 |  | | I'm sure it has a lot of valuable properties but it also disabled my Google Voice to Text. I could use words but I could not use punctuation. It also would not let my emails send unless I was connected to Wi-Fi. I could not click on shipping links to UPS that were sent to me from Macys. Those were the three issues I found within about 15 minutes. I can't imagine what else I would have found if I kept using it throughout the day. Those three issues were enough to make me uninstall it. |
| 2023-01-17 |  | | Sometimes it works great, other times, especially at night, it won't open websites without turning off the VPN. And at other times the speed is very slow, like literally 2 Mbps. This vpn leaves much to be desired, and there are lots of others with better features. Unfortunately I locked myself into a long-term contract before i did my research. Don't make the same mistake! |
| 2022-04-21 |  | | No better program for the money! The options are endless and the coverage is boundless! I've been using AVG product since I cut my teeth in the early '80s, freeware! Best free ware you could find, but no bugs... I'm glad they're still growing and developing in their field of expertise. The sheer volume of the software has always excelled at doing everything I thought needed to done. $60 is a incredible price! $60 for 10x subscriptions to three different programs you do the math.
