2024-08-25 | Vicktor Mickolai | It comes with a heavy heart that I have to bid farewell to an app that I have been using for over 5 years now to build various worlds. It allows me to categorize and easily sift through my own jumbled information. I am sad to see you guys discontinue the app.I don't have a desktop computer and only a phone, I am stuck with the latest version.Have you guys thought about making it server-based and using a website or something? World anvils freebie opens your world to everyone I have trust issues.
2024-08-16 | Ting-Wen Tsai | I recently remembered using this app in the past and liking it, so I tried downloading it again on my current phone, but I'm completely unable to use it because it does not allow you to use the app without giving it external storage permissions. My phone (Pixel 7) does not have external storage and I'm not sure why it needs to be external storage instead of internal storage to run.
2021-11-24 | ZeroFive Nosh | Nice and simple, but a little too simple The app is great, but a docked a point for its lack a feature. I could create my own groups and folders as well as more control of what categories of information to include. At the very least format options would help. When you making a long campaign you will be grouping dozens of npcs, towns, land marks, cities and builds all in the same spot. It gets cluttered.
2021-03-25 | Lydia Yoo | The app is good, I wrote a lot of stuff about my worldbuilding project. But i would suggest a few features. Firstly, i think it would be nice to have more than one picture in an article. It would really help understand what i'm writing and i sometimes can't have one picture to represent it all. Second, i would like a way to make your own categories. Third, i think it would also be nice to make some folders to organize your articles. Overall, i think the app is very good!
2021-01-25 | keller nine | Great app, one reccomendation, make sub catagories ex: locations might go continent-state-cities, etc so that people can more easily find stuff in a large world. if you could do that id never even think about an alternative to this app, I have not found one bug so far so props for that! Keep up the good work!
2021-01-02 | Zaxstar | Works very well! One issue, though, is that inputting a "/" causes an error, and doesn't create the file. So use "\", "-", "|", or similar special characters instead. This is a common and understandable issue, so I hold nothing against the app developers because of this minor inconvenience. Edit: Also occurs with "." (period.)
2020-10-17 | Katherine Depablos | Great app for world building. But that's it. Don't expect to write your whole novel in this. This is solely for organizing all the elements that may conform your story. And it fills its role perfectly. It does take a little tinkering with the app to start understanding it. And, in my personal case, I didn't enjoyed the interface too much, because of it's aesthetic. But good app anyway.
2020-06-27 | Mullane Family | The app is great for world building, but the only thing keeping me from rating it five stars is that, when creating a snippet, if you click the arrrow to go back it won't always save what you wrote, so you have to push the triangle button (on your phone at the bottom of the screen next to the cutcle home button and recent screens button) to go back and save your work, but I donno always remember to do that. I've lost many things due to this, so I hope it can be fixed ASAP.
2020-06-20 | Derek Sparks | Very useful program for making worlds and characters. Free with no ads currently. Missing sync from cloud storage but you can back up to dropbox. Unfortunately it may never get a full sync feature because they are basically abandoning this to make a web app that they are having a hard time figure out. Do what you need to and fix this app. Seriously. I've been through dozens and I like this one the best.
2020-04-11 | A Google user | World scribe is a wonderful app for first time Dm/Gms and even players. I've use it for several campaigns now and I've never been more satisfied. The design is easy to maneuver and I like what's being done with it as well as it's updates. I've grown to depend on it for organization purposes. The developers are active and quick to fix issues as well which makes using the app very homely; at least for me. I could see areas where things can be added but the possibilities of the app are limitless. |
