| 2024-10-10 |  | | So far, so good. The ap is easy to use and smart enough to disconnect when on a secure network. Update - 15 minutes after I submitted my review, for the first time, it won't connect to a secure server. Now I can't do the business I was planning. Maybe there is some legitimate reason, and it will resolve itself when possible. Update #2 - the problem seems to be related to the phone. After a restart, the VPN again connected without a problem. That's not the first time a restart fixes something. |
| 2024-08-01 |  | | I use VPNs for everything, but it seems only at certain "Optimal" connections that it works with major streaming networks. So I have to fiddle with it to work now if they fix this problem I'd give 5 stars NP. Now their is a company that works every time, no problems WSO with stream services like APV/ Hulu and etc etc. Avast I have always used for years, I mean, if you're surfing the web, it's perfect, but if you want streaming protection honestly, sometimes it works, and then it DON'T WORK. |
| 2024-06-16 |  | | Editing old comment about the disconnections, the secure line has come a long way and I haven't noticed any disconnections for a long time now. A feature I hope they add in the future is the ability to see live data of which apps are sending/receiving data, and how much. This would be useful when trying to find apps thatre using background data even when closed in foreground and background. |
| 2024-03-24 |  | | I thought this was a free VPN that avast offers. I love both the security and the mobile cleanup apps, and have had them forever. I was disappointed to see that I had to pay for a subscription for the VPN. I immediately uninstalled it, so therefore have ZERO experience with it. If you'd offer a free version, it's likely that I'd eventually subscribe, like I've done with the other two apps, but I refuse to subscribe without first getting to experience it. |
| 2024-03-10 |  | | There is no way to tell if the app is doing it s job except that nothing bad happens. Do far so good . How about a resettable counter that clocks events. Sometimes it does not start when I reboot the system. For some reason stopped letting me connect to "server" or anywhere til I turned it off. I want to be sure it turns on when I switch into my secure folders. |
| 2023-05-25 |  | | I have used secure line for years, and that is why the 4 stars. They have been fantastic, however recently I find myself having to pause my VPN more and more as my connections to sites and apps has been very spotty. It has gotten to the point that I'm considering switching, but I am hoping that their hard work and dedication will fix this issue soon. |
| 2023-02-15 |  | | Spent money to make this work on my phone, I figured because I like the one for my computer that I should just do this too, but it's constantly having errors and keeping from connecting to anything at all. I'm so annoyed that for now I am uninstalling this until I see some improvments Update: obviously it's been some time. This program runs much better on my phone now, I only have to disconnect when it comes to Netflix or another streaming platform. Updated to 5 stars. |
| 2022-09-23 |  | | 09/23/22 I have continued to ise the app and it has made great improvements. Not perfect, but pretty darn close. Older Review... I use to Like it a lot. I use this app when I am on unsecured networks. But, I am disappointed that they do not consider a Microsoft tablet a mobile device and want to charge an addional price for that subscription. 09/05/20 App keeps annoyingly sending messages to connect even though settings are set not to auto connect. |
| 2022-05-26 |  | | Poor throughout performance most of the time now. I have been a subscriber for years. I frequently find myself turning off VPN just so I can load a website, and when it is off the site load fine, whether LTE or wifi. To Daniel from Avast, not sure what else I can add. Intermittently, News sites that won't load pictures unless I turn off VPN. Mail won't download currently or shows errors unless I turn off VPN. Podcast list refreshes take minutes instead of seconds. |
| 2022-05-07 |  | | I haven't used it extensively, but I find it extremely ridiculous to have your customers pay for quite the premium and only allow mobile phones to be able to use the VPN service, but force the same customers to pay for an extra subscription fee for their desktop/laptop versions. This should have been included in the Premium Security version. Pairing with your desktop will not work unless you are paying for that subscription, and only instead gives you the option to install their AV. No thanks. |
