| 2024-11-26 |  | | 100% deceptive. Purchased the app and VPN that says available on 5 devices. When I went to link my Mac I was told you cannot use on different "platforms." If I wanted to use on anything other than an android phone have to pay twice the amount. This is not specified on its description. It says 5 devices and also gives a way to link. They tried to play the devices means the one you're on. Again it needs to be clear. Very clear! Not oh yeah and when you call in require you to pay twice. Refunding |
| 2024-11-18 |  | | Good security a n VPN service. Hasn't tried to change any settings not authorized. If I give a service any access to all my device settings for security , I will always monitor their activity . I have found in the past that their was unauthorized changes to my device settings as well as changes to my personal account. For example, hanged passwords and deletion of stored fingerprints. I have since deleted the app that I believe to be responsible. Been better though stillspam. |

Unlike most anti-virus apps in the market, with Avast, upgrading to the paid version is just the beginning of a very long list of upgrades. Each single feature has to be paid separately. For big bucks. Avg anti-virus has the same rating on play store and it's as good, and the whole premium package is for less than a hundred bucks a year. Money doesn't grow on trees! |
| 2024-11-15 |  | | Iv had 3 avast apps installed for about 3 mths. I can't get any websites to come thru when I search for it! Avast blocks EVERYTHING I SEARCH FOR!! Like how is that happening? If I actually do get thru and what I'm searching for, does go thru then 30 seconds later it completely kicks me off the site!!! WTH 😒 I'm so frustrated with them OMG! I guess I'll have to delete everything IV installed and get something else! I can't even get thru to customer support or help it kicks me off that TOO! 😡 |
| 2024-11-13 |  | | Very good app! When I first got it, I had more options now those options are gone unless you pay for it, still this is a great app! I've been using this many years on my computer and 2 laptops and now for several years on my smartphone. AVAST SAVED ME SEVERAL TIMES THROUGHOUT THE YEARS! If I wasn't on a fixed income and could budget I absolutely we go for the paid for version! |

Id be happy to subscribe to the VPN product IF they'd unbundle it and charge the same $2 a month charged as a monthly subscription. But right now I've got the same deal from a competitor. Just an idea for the marketing dept. |
| 2024-11-02 |  | | Paid subscription, unable to raise technical support chat online. You should go back to the previous email system. Email Guardian continually fails to load after a restart. Continually have to uninstall & reinstall to get Email Guardian to load. I can only assume Avast doesn't want to deal with customers who are having technical issues. Canceled my automatic annual subscription renewal. Just read about your.multi million dollar settlement with the FTC for selling client data 👎 |
| 2024-10-25 |  | | This app will not leave me alone. I'm losing my mind from the constant quasi-notifications. It's always throwing its icon on the top of my screen. Every damn time I swipe down from the top of the screen to see my notifications it shows this banner "Avast has you protected." STOP SHOWING ME THE BANNER. I have gone to settings and turned off every reasonable thing I can, but I think there's no option to hide what I'm seeing. Very close to deleting the app and cancelling my subscription. |
| 2024-10-25 |  | | Satisfied with the actual virus protection. But. Antivirus should do its thing in the background, but this one regularly shoves itself in your face. I have the paid version on both my phone and laptop, but it too often nags me to buy even more. Latest update, you can't close the screen - background operation is expected, but the "Back" button should make the window go away (like a few million other apps do). |
| 2024-10-21 |  | | You lost a star today. Your app is continually crashing. I see nowhere where I can contact you through the settings. It used to be there but now it's not. People need to be aware that it works intermittently. Not sure I like it YET. And I don't know if I want to pay next year after my paid subscription is over. I see it has a problem updating, it's telling me it's looking for a Wi-Fi connection to update. That's b*******. I went into settings, and it doesn't need a Wi-Fi connection to update. |
