| 2024-11-13 |  | | Like seemingly every note app I've tried so far, it requires an account for reasons I don't understand. Why can't I just open the app and start taking notes? Worse still, I can't even make an account to log in with; I just get caught in a loop of the app claiming it's sent login emails only to not receive any on the specified time. Uninstalled it and will continue looking for one that just works, I guess. |
| 2024-10-24 |  | | I used to lose a few edits early on, but Simplnote has become a lot more reliable since I started using it in 2020. Now in 2024 I probably have a thousand or more notes in it. I use this for everything. It's not a perfect app; but whatever problems it has are compatible to 'the best' note apps; and these problems are often due to changes and limitations that Google imposes. |
| 2024-09-14 |  | | The app is great for its intended use, unfortunately I worry if it is compromised or broken somehow. Without me opening the app or having the app open in any way that I can discern, I often get notifications that the app is draining the battery heavily in the background. I filed a support ticket a while ago but received no follow up response. The issue still happens on a somewhat regular basis and makes me want to look for alternatives for my note taking needs. |
| 2024-09-08 |  | | This app is very quick and easy to use. I have a suggestion though. I would like the ability to put notes of a given year into a stash that wouldn't load unless I opened it. This would save processing time when searching for recent notes. You could always have the option to search all notes. |
| 2024-02-21 |  | | Simplenote used to be go to app for almost 10 years. Loved it, used it every day. Unfortunately in the last several weeks it stopped working on my Android. It freezes, it doesn't open the notes, doesn't let me edit; restarting and reinstalling didn't resolve the issue. Unfortunately I will have to look for another app. (Samsung Galaxy S22, One Ui 6, Android 14) |
| 2023-12-25 |  | | I enjoyed this app for several years , however after upgrading to One UI 6.0 (Android 14 on Samsung galaxy s23+) the Simplenote app becomes unresponsive immediately after opening it. I hope you will provide a fix very soon! Update: Turns out this issue has been known for a month and a half on the support web page, but no fix has been provided - which is is quite disappointing . Thus I migrated my notes to Joplin which so far works very well. |

I copied this from the online forum as it explains what is happening on my phone as well.: melfaa October 25, 2023 6:15 pm After opening the application, I try to view a note or do a search or even scroll, and the app’s UI stops responding and a few seconds later there is an Android system message pops up suggesting to close the application. |

Right now I have to macs with simplenote open, and one android. I have three test docs only, and it simply doesn't see them across devices. | 2023-04-30 |  | | A Five Star app on iOS with odd bugs on Android... Easily one of my TOP FIVE apps EVER and use it on my iPhone since 2019. I installed it on a Samsung S23. Two issues are occurring: 1. Entering my notes is incredibly slow. As in "I type a letter and it takes a second for it to show up". PS this issue is ONLY happening in SimpleNote 2. If I start typing at the top of my note, the app keeps jumping to the bottom of the note. PS I love the Saved search terms feature, wished the iOS version had that |
| 2023-03-10 |  | | I just installed this app as it has similar functionality to my beloved and no longer supported LG QuickMemo+. The ability to use checkboxes alongside plain text in the same note is what sold this for me. BUT THE CHECKBOXES KEEP DISAPPEARING!!!Like, right after I type the first word and then are invisible through the entire note. I want to love this app. Is this fixable? Running Android 13 on a Samsung S22+. |
