2024-12-11 | Mark Smith | Huge huge huge download (5 gigs ) which took 22 minutes to download. It crashed right away and to fix the issues I'd have to remove my malware and security application. Also would have to reset my storage which would have led to the loss of Data. It's really just for computers and not phones or tablets. Another major sticking point is having to pay $19.99 to play after 60 turns. C'mon I'll pay for extra stuff in the app but not $20 on an android game. For $20 I want a CD and a license.
2024-12-06 | Ryan Riller | Great game, some tiny problems but not game breaking. It's a bit of a small learning curve, but it's just a worthwhile challenge. The two high-priced DLC's are a bit much, but since they include more mechanics, it could be lowered to $37 and $26 instead of $39.99-$40.00 and $29.99-$30.00.
2024-12-05 | Michael Kissling | I love civ 6. The ability ro play it mobile is awesome. However the later expac content seems to be missing a leader and for some reason certain resolutions like picking which great person type at the United congress doesn't work... that grinds the game to a halt. Can't advance... so it's like I get stuck on that first congress page every game.
2024-11-20 | Ryshelle | Look, I love Civ. It's one of my favorite games of all time. Unfortunately this mobile version is completely unplayable. It crashes so often that I can't get past turn 1, which is a shame because it would be a delightful game! Hopefully they'll fix whatever is up with it...
2024-11-14 | Caeden McGinthy | The game is great. It's a Civ6 on mobile. The only downside is when they aren't doing a sale, this game sells for the same price as the base PC version, which is unacceptable. The performance is a good early game but becomes ehhh when you reach the end game. Overall, I give it a 7/10, which could be increased with better performance and cheaper prices on DLC. Oh, and also, you need a constant online connection to play offline, which is so absurd.
2024-11-05 | Skyler M | I would like to play this video game while I am on back packing trips or traveling in general, but it has no offline authentication. A person may not necessarily be in an area with mobile towers available. This seems like a huge oversight, since people who have no mobile data cannot play this game on the go, which is the whole point of having a mobile game.
2024-09-22 | Tristan Williams-Whetstone | This game is just a huge scam. Have fun paying 20 frigging dollars for a MOBILE game that's garbage, crashes, and despite the fact that you paid TWENTY dollars for it, will repeatedly tell you you have to pay 20 dollars to unlock the full version of the game again and again. You have to uninstall and reinstall the game every time and it's not a small game. Absolute trash game, don't waste your money, they'll just try to steal it as much as they can.
2024-09-05 | Greg Phillips | This game is fun. Civ is fun. It's really incredible to have full Civ on mobile, but there are bugs that detract from the experience. I'm unable to move the camera easily without disselecting a unit. This makes it very hard to move units. Also, units do not move if I give them a multi turn destination. They just stay there. I have just tried to load a game from the cloud which I had started on mobile and played on PC for a bit. It errors and does not work.
2024-08-31 | Vladimir Sturges | 5 star game with a 1 star glitch. The gameplay is amazing. The controls are great. The graphics are great. I love the music and commentary on each civilization. The literal only problem I have is that I get kicked out of the game periodically and have to restart the entire game which takes some time to reboot. I am starting on a new phone so if this problem is gone I'm giving it a 5 star rating. (8/31/24)
2024-08-16 | Austin Lyons | This game is nearly a decade old and can be had for fewer than ten dollars on steam multiple times a year. Yet this mobile version asks for twenty dollars for the base game. No DLC, no mods, poor performance even on top tier devices (such as the OnePlus open I am typing this review on) and terrible visuals. Certain compromises must be made for the mobile platform, but Aspyr Media wants over sixty dollars for all the DLC. No one should pay that much to get a poor mobile imitation of the PC game. |
