| 2021-01-01 |  | | This has the potential to be my favorite news app. However, it has some issues that need to be sorted out quickly: I don't want to give it permission to access my microphone. If I choose not to, the app should adapt to that and remove the voice-activated search option. It needs to stop nagging me to give it all permissions. Permissions are at the discretion of the user; that's the whole point of the user being asked. It has a constant "busy" animation in the middle of the window. If I do give it microphone permission, it just keeps crashing. It doesn't remember my Default News Source so I'm constantly getting Australian headlines from ABC News (AU), the first news source in the list. Sometimes it displays the Burger Menu symbol top left to access the lefthand pull-out tray, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it displays the "More"/"Settings"/etc. buttons at the bottom of the headlines, sometimes it doesn't. Settings should be accessible via a cog icon on the pull-out panel which you should be able to swipe out from the left, as per standard Android functionality. It's "Business" not "Bussiness". I hope to see lots of UI improvements very soon so that I can keep the app installed. |
