| 2024-11-15 |  | | I have had, for 4 months a HORRIFIC infux of POLITICAL agenda, begging for funds, & mud slinging texts RINGING into a LOCK screen set for NO notifications. This 10 times thruout day & night has greatly affected my health. I struggled to find its pathway in & was praying that after election they would stop. They became far worse. Finally found it HERE - it was coming thru this app! Only thing I use it for is Messages. I unclicked the box. Silence. |

One day it stopped clearing after I looked at messages and now I have to manually dismiss the reminder every time. All of a sudden it can't recognize that something has been seen already. Total pain. Keeping it until they fix it or I find something better. |

This app will enable a missed notification to harass you until you pay attention to it, act on it, or dismiss it. I also appreciate its ability to cancel the repeating notification but retain the visual notification in the pulldown shade. My phone stops spam calls and texts from ringing thru but this app lets me know and then reminds me about then until I clear it. I'd like to eliminate certain group texts if I have set them to silent for an hour or a day but I still get the notice. There are contacts I NEVER want to miss so I keep using this app but when group chats get chatty I really don't need to know. Individual contact options PLEASE! |

Plus lots of internal com.google.{something} apps listed. Would be worth an extra point if the apps were searchable, alphabetized, and some way to un-check internal apps. |

But yet you still wanna know certain incoming events, that come to your device.. Without having to open your phone or look on your screen.. Great settings menu to customize what is notified to you and for when and how long.. Uses hardly any battery.. A great app !!.. Thanks for everything on this one !! |

I thought this app might be a good replacement for Light Flow -- but not being able to set the repeat notification volume higher than the normal sound/alert volume sizably limits the value of this app for me. In reply to the author's comment: My phone is in vibrate mode except when it's charging (which automatically puts it in DND with only alarms allowed). If MNR uses the alarm channel, I'll never get any sleep! |

If you want messenger to have a repeat every minute but your texts you want a repeat every ten minutes. Plus different sounds for each app if you'd like. This would be greatly appreciated. | 2021-02-13 |  | | As others have said: this is the app to get if you just replaced your phone & discovered you aren't reminded of notifications. This app un-blinds you with the least learning curve. (Be sure to look at the "..." advanced settings.). One thing I don't like: during the day I'd like to have a chime reminder without the display notification (I think this would use less battery). When I sleep, I'd like to have the display notification (no chime. If I wake in the middle of the night, the visual illumination would be good. Typically the phone will be charging while I sleep. No concern about the battery drain.). This can be done in the app's settings (you need to checkmark "..." advanced). During the day, disable "create extra alert" (enable a ring tone). When you go to bed, do the opposite. I guess what made this feel clumsy is that you'd think the app would just respect the phone's mute setting. In that case, all you'd have to do is toggle the "extra alert" morning and night. But, the app has a setting to respect mute. If you tell it to respect mute, it won't create the display alert either. If you tell it not to respect mute (in order to see the display indicator), it will chime too (while muted). So, for what I want to do, that felt unintuitive. But, as I said, I just had to get used to toggling two things (every morning and night). This app is still the simplest/easiest way to have protection against missed notifications without having to comprehend a lot. This unintuitive audio setting (controlling display) was the only part that frustrated me for awhile, and made me feel like I was spending more time than I should have to for basic functionality (I expected the phone to have). |
| 2021-01-09 |  | | This app is phenomenal! I got a new phone and had no idea that it was going to be this way now. Since Android seems to have BROKEN the option of having notifications on every text message received, VERY IMPORTANT messages go undetected unless I take my phone out of my pocket every minute or two and check it manually.... Bad Bad implementation, Android! But this app thankfully repairs the problem by allowing audio or vibrate options with adjustable frequency to check and notify me. THANK YOU! |
