2024-11-29 | Gawen Crow | I used a different security/antivirus app for years. For some reason after getting a new phone I decided to try AVG antivirus and security along with AVG cleaner and I must say I am very impressed. Two thumbs up and highly recommend. The interface is very intuitive and it has many more features than the one I was used to. The VPN works flawlessly. I think I found my new permanent mobile security app.
2024-11-28 | SARAI7HJ | 11/15/2024- Webshield keeps shutting off for no apparent reason. Last update went through. So it has nothing to do with that. Just wish there was an ALL IN ONE suite instead of having to pay for additional AVG tools. When I had AVG years ago there was an all in one. 11/28/24 Response to developer - Accessibility settings were already set. Who doesn't know that has to be done?! Try giving a logical opinion &/or truthful answer about the issue please.
2024-11-22 | Sherry Merideth | Requested a Refund on a purchase I did not intentionally make and they are refusing to help. I have an account that I have had for years and AVG is constantly sending notifications that I need to buy products. I ment to update my current account and ended up opening a new one. They charged me for the same product 2x and are refusing to refund the money. I have told them I have an account already that has the product already. Don't trust this company. I will not renew.
2024-11-21 | Cliff Ellixson | I have had no problems except it keeps on bugging me when I have the ultimate Avast package. I will get it strstraightent then, next thin I know it will happe, again wanting to purchase the Ultimate package again. Not only that, I suppose to have all of their so-call Avast packages and other stuff comes up and says you need to buy the VPV app. I already have them all. About 4 or 5 different services. If I don't find a answer soon I will not be getting another package and look for another one.
2024-11-18 | cestep76 | It serves its intended purpose for free with ads. Pretty basic anti-virus program. The issue I have with it is that when it detects malware, it won't tell me what app it is in. You only have the option to uninstall "the app" with no clue what you are agreeing to uninstall. Which is just a bad design, in my opinion.
2024-11-18 | Samuel Foldz | Provides good security. Easy to use. Too easy in my opinion, not enough options to tweak and customize like there is in the desktop version. The one thing that would truely set it apart from the herd,... wait for it.....boom! the sandboxing feature of the desktop version that also promotes the ability to completely isolate an installed app from the rest of your device and network. Like all of the largest social networking and biggest online retailer apps tend to do.
2024-11-15 | Richard Young (VE7RY_Rick) | I like AVG for most things, but I have a folder of APK files on my phone that may not be found on playstore, and AVG wants to delete them. There is no option to ignore the narrow opinion of what is junk. Just because a file is old or hasn't been accessed for a while, doesn't mean that it's junk, at least let me choose, all that you offer is a clean button. Not good !
2024-11-14 | Kyle Murphy | Decent virus scanner, but you can't disable notifications advertising other products, only notifications for the entire app which isn't great for security. It also forces you to allow all-the-time location tracking just to do a one-time WiFi scan, which is total BS. The developer response claims this is necessary, but I have other network scanning apps that only need the permission while the app is running, not all the time. Lowering my review to one star due to the misinformation.
2024-11-11 | Brian Cotter | I have the paid version. It's just as pointlessly aggressive as the PC version. You have to have everything on or you are a bad person. It just complains all the time. VPN is fine but it also limits you access to certain websites at all like ign or Amazon. I had McAfee and it was not as intrusive but useless. It is why I switched. Anyway little explanation on why a scan has issues besides having to turn everything on does not help. None of these products are all good.
2024-11-10 | F.L. Wearing | It started off great. Now after paying/subscribing to Premium service. My Chrome browser glitches. In order to get full access. You have to make AVG your default browser. I have too much info stored in Chrome that I don't want to lose or tediously transfer in order to make AVG my default browser. I had to bypass that option by resetting my phone. I couldn't connect to my Chrome browser for 24 hrs. |
