2024-11-25 | ron biggs | It is difficult to find your way around, and it is lacking some obvious features for bulk actions. It also doesn't seem to recognize the devices that are clearly visible on the Amazon website. (The Amazon photos website also does not sync with the site, so there's consistency there.)
2024-11-22 | Kent Hobby | This app can not do the basic function of showing pictures that you have uploaded. Then if you share photos with family there is no way of seeing just the photos you uploaded. It mixes everyone's photos and no way of sorting. Developers need to go back to basics and start simple instead of this frustrating mess of a app.
2024-11-22 | R Wade | LIMITED FUNCTIONALITY! UNABLE TO ACCESS ALL OF THE PHOTOS ON MY PHONE! Terrible functionality on this app. I cannot upload photos from all of the folders that I choose on my phone. I should be able to go and pick whatever folders on my Android phone to download photos. The app gives very limited ability to move photos around once they're downloaded. This is an annoyingly constraining app!
2024-11-19 | Doug M (DjMoonWalker) | The app has improved over the years. I love it for my kitchen echo show. Previously it did an update and starts loading hundreds of photos I deleted that I don't want displayed on an 8 inch screen in the kitchen!! Why would this update do this?!?!? I spent a year weeding through photos for the only purpose of displaying them for the family.
2024-11-18 | Glen Roberson | Amazon photos app pulls every image from your phone! There are no settings that you can go to allow for one folder or, more importantly, blocking another folder. They upload everything to their servers! Just because they say it is deleted doesn't mean that it actually is deleted. Those images are now firmly out of your control! It wouldn't surprise me to see a website entitled "Leaked Amazon Photos" one day! This app is a security and privacy risk! Don't use it!
2024-11-12 | Rachael Bitler | Sometimes has a slight delay in updating your photos to the app. But ultimately a great way to get some extra storage for your photos and videos!! Super happy to have this space so I can free up phone storage and also not worry about losing my photos if something happens to my device!!
2024-10-30 | Randy Dahlinger | The behind the scenes upload of photos is great. So far, no problems. It is really much better than having to manually save photos to my PC. The unlimited storage is great - so far, I've had only a small amount of video upload, so I can't speak to the limits there.
2024-10-25 | John Weaver Jr | I have been a Prime member for years and got a message that I needed to take advantage of this photo app. After I went to back up my photos and videos, the video storage was only a little over half of the five gigabyte capacities, but it stopped uploading the last seven videos altogether less than one gig, and nothing I did helped. Went on Reddit and discovered it was a ploy by Amazon to sell their 100 gigabyte storage subscription. My Google backup stored everything fine. Big disappointment!
2024-10-22 | Daniel Clark | Amazon Prime gives free photo storage, and you can set it up to auto-sync so you'll never lose your pics. Works well on Pixel 8a. My last phone would put the app into deep sleep so syncing wouldn't work (the timing was bad too since my SD card malfunctioned at the same time and I lost a bunch of pictures). Make sure you're phone doesn't put the app to sleep :)
2024-10-18 | Deb F | Infuriating new pesterware - now this app has started insisting on frequently being opened to continue backups, and it freezes for several minutes when opened. This means, if you want it to back up photos you often have to sit and stare at it doing nothing for a significant chunk of time. Too stupid. Fire whoever had the "bright idea" for this change. |
