| 2024-11-15 |  | | Otter is a great app that doesn't just turn your speech into text. It also breaks session into sections and gives detailed summaries of each part. Transcription is really accurate, at least for me (I speak US English with American accent, and I record in a quiet area). Otter's AI language model, @Otter, can be asked it to do things like elaborate on something, expand on a point, or dive deeper into a topic. With a little more fine-tuning the app, would 5 out of 50 free tier be really generous |

Needs to learn odd names or older vernacular, but after the first correction, OtterAI remembers or will ask. Super easy to use; usually auto saves and is very, very, very difficult to f/up. Keep space on your phone or cloud space to avoid discussions disappearing! And know the laws in your state to cya! |

OtterAI still lets you record as many things as you like, but then holds on to them to try to bait you to upgrade. You can only view the most recent 25. I'm hoping if I delete the first 25, I will gain access to some of the other ones. |

(I am secretary for a women's committee where frequently there is people talking over other people. I like that I don't have to start at the beginning of the meeting, it sections things out very well. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is that you are technically given 30 minutes free, and I can't get any info on the business version. |

I've lost a lot of important info relying on Otter to provide a clear transcript/audio from speaker phone interviews. Please note. I am using my phone on speaker and my computer for the Otter Ap. It is not clear and unreliable. Some parts I can hear and other parts are just too choppy to comprehend. I'm happy to provide a sample to Otter! |

For almost $20 I expected at least accurate results, but most of the transcript was plain made up and guesswork at best. 90 minute limit on each of ten monthly uploads isn't going to cut it for this price, not with accuracy slightly better than randomly generating words. I've submitted my request for a refund after less than half an hour, the results are entirely garbage. |
| 2024-08-16 |  | | Pretty good. Has the features i need. Free version is pretty good, plenty of minutes per month, especially for the casual user like me. My biggest gripe is the translation of live, in person meetings. When i read back the transcript, it is semi crazy. it transcribes things wrong (wrong words), which sometimes give the sentence a whole new meaning. if i didn't remember that part of the meeting, i would be like, what the heck is this??? We didn't say this or talk about this! |

Every time I open them, it says "uploading from other device" then changes to "uploading audio" and at the bottom a message briefly appears that says "audio not yet available". Please help, I need my audio :( |

Could really use this. - Recording Reminder: A couple of times already I have forgotten that I started Otter, and completely forgot to stop it once meeting was complete. Maybe a reminder or notification every 30 mins would help. I've lost quite a bit of time from my allotted monthly minutes. |

Their customer support is extremely slow and below market standards. As a paid subscriber, I will not be renewing my subscription. |
