Despite being the gold standard for PDF viewing, Adobe is extremely annoying. Constantly pushing subscriptions in your face and at times when you are trying to read a document. I am not paying $70 a year for another cloud storage. I have all I need.

works well with my Android. It is the default app for pdf, so any doc that is downloaded, it will automatically link to open up if desired. Only problem is it scans photos, and if it looks like a document, it wants to know if you want to convert it to a pdf. (kinda disturbing that it's scanning everything on the phone)

It was fine until they added AI. Edit: The developer has pointed out that the AI button can be disabled. I've verified that this is true. However, I did not at any point opt-in to the AI feature, and so I think the developer is being disingenuous here. Perhaps it was hidden in a ToS update? That's even worse. Placing a big AI button right where you think a person will accidentally press it is hostile design. As such, I'm keeping my 1-star rating.

I am pretty ticked off. I wanted to tell the 'edit' function and I was prompted to pay for it with a 7-day trial period. Supposedly if I signed up and canceled within the 7 days, I would not be charged. I signed up and it took money from my Google Rewards account immediately. I tried the edit functions for 10 minutes and realized it did not do what I wanted so I canceled immediately after that 10 minutes. Well, Adobe kept the money it collected & 6 days later, no credit back. Not a free trial!!!

Always works, love the liquid mode. Wish it supported bigger files. When are you going to support liquid mode in larger files?? So much easier to read for these old eyes. Everything app does is on "pay for it" mode. If I used it more maybe I would, as is it won't even let me delete something from my downloaded stuff. Annoying

The desktop version is absolutely terrible. It freezes when I compile several pdfs into 1 file, leaving all the work I had done to each page unsaved, so I have to start EVERYTHING over. It also will move texts/notes that I wrote on one page to another page. Sometimes, the text will not be able to edit, delete, or move back to its original page, will be sideways, or multiply into the dozens. The highlighting feature can be useless, as it will highlight an entire section rather than a few words.

EDIT: Added stars after Adobe's reply. I appreciate that there's a way to disable generative AI, and the solution below works. On a single-page PDF, the AI Assistant button blocks part of the page, and I cannot read the text underneath. Please move the AI Assistant button to either the top or bottom menu ribbon. Other than that, this app works consistently and well.

Years ago, Adobe Acrobat was one of my most-used tools because it did what I wanted it to do, and did NOT do what I DIDN'T want it to. The last few years, on both desktop and phone app, it's become almost as bad as malware. Annoying, intrusive, hogs resources, and makes it difficult for me to do what I want, which is just occasionally view PDFs on my phone. Moved app to SD card and it repeatedly moves itself back to internal storage. Seeking a simple PDF viewer-only app. Sorry, Adobe. FAIL.

Acrobat offers a no cost option to draw you in to their service option. Then discontinue the service and offer an at cost option as a replacement. So many versions of Acrobat have crossed my desktop, each one offering different options and vastly different user interfaces, lending to complete confusion when trying to complete even a simple task like printing the document. I don't think Adobe cares what their regular customer thinks about their software. They cater to the business professional.

Ate the first PDF I put in it. I was using it to handwrite important, researched notes on a pdf. When I switched to another app for a moment and then back, it deleted all my notes and saved over the file. On the android version, there is no "restore previous versions" feature. So I'll be starting over and I'll be using an app that actually works.
