My newlighting HDTV cable plug & play isn't working on this 2014 plasma T.V. and I don't know why. It tells me to update. I click on the update but no response and so that what everything else is doing. Not responding saying things like check your wifi connection. Check your USB connection. I tired of it. The T.V. is old and that's that. I have picture, but no sound.

Can yall please fix and update the miraplug app? It doesn't stay connected. If it does connect it's for a very short time and while it is connected it's choppy and freezes up. And the other half the time it doesn't want to do anything when plugged in. I have around 8 different cords and 2 I just bought at the store cause I thought it might have been that. Even tried reseting the dongl, app and device multi times! I've tried everything. Also read the reviews to get ideas.. no luck! 😕

It was troublesome to start. Had to fool around with settings. It worked great for a month. Could cast for hours, watch movies etc. Just the other day, it started dropping the cast every five minutes. Now it won't cast more than a few seconds. My guess is the app needs an update as the new android os update might have some kind of blocker. All I know is that it doesn't work anymore. Until it does. One star.

It didn't work right away. I plugged everything in and had the app and nothing. After reading through reviews I found that there is a pin hole on the hdmi that resets. After that I finally see the blue screen with a QR code on the tv. So after I reset the cord the app settings were off. I am not sure how but even after deleting and re-installing the app the permissions were all turned off. I did get it to work eventually but it did take some patience hence the 3 stars. It does freeze too.

The privacy terms for the application necessary for the product and required credit card was not specified in the ad for the device in Amazon. Update: There was confusion, but it was deliberate. Plug-and-play is not the default setting. Instead the default setting is a confusing set of prompts for additional services they can be easily confused with the setup process. To get to the plug-in play part you have to insert a pin in a hole in the device which they do not supply.

Ads popping up to the point of not being able to use the app. Going from app instructions to credit card info for something not even pertaining to the app or cable connection. Tried downloading again and same thing telling me to plug in cable . Gave up on all of it and returned cable. Could not even communicate with E-mail because of a total screen blocking add 🥺

Trouble logging in. I logged in first with email address and password and gave my credit card info. It promised not to charge. Got in but the app I wanted to use inside wouldn't load up. Went out and now it wants my credit card info again. Is it supposed to ask every time? Now it says it is a 5 day trial and then will start charging. I don't recall that at all the first time I logged in. Also noticed it prechecked the box to buy games I don't want. How do I cancel?

I thought there wasn't supposed bto be any lag? This is insane. It's like 5 second s behind which is worst than using Chromecast. I'm so disappointed I take that back it's actually worse. Almost 10 to 15 seconds. Edit I take it back. It's the TV. I used an old computer monitor via dvi to HDMI and it worked like a charm. It's sucks on the Sony Bravia smart tv.

Pro: it's good for mirroring your phone. I have had it over a year I think and no major problems. I use it to mirror videos from my phone to a monitor. I haven't played games but I have heard there is not much lag, if at all. It does the job it is supposed to do in my opinion. Cons: I have Bluetooth speaker I connect it to that I have to keep manually connecting after each use. I wish it could just automatically connect to whatever app you last used for volume. This part is a bit annoying.

This app does what it says. Little to no latency. However, I find that my Miraplug adapter's bluetooth cannot be detected. Maybe in the future you can make it to where audio goes through the wire instead. Also, maybe you can make an adapter that does what the Miraplug does, but with usb ports for mice and keyboards etc. One last thing, maybe you can say what the updated features do in English.
