| 2024-04-03 |  | | Ever since the latest update, this app keeps putting my phone to sleep đ¤ I listen to the news when I shower and get ready for work in the mornings. Also have it playing in the background in my office. It is NOT a timer issue with my phone. The abc7 app is the only one that puts both my phone and tablet to sleep while I am actively watching or listening to it. Netflix, Prime, etc. do not do that. I can watch/listen to entire movies on other apps just fine. But not this one. |

Filter setting on My News doesn't hold, must turn off unwanted choices (videos and galleries in my case) every time it's used. There's too much non-local (but local to elsewhere, like small towns in southern states) news for an app that specifies Chicago. Articles still full of typos, headlines often don't reflect content accurately. |

You're welcome. Additional and more in-depth. When you click on a link outside the app it takes you to the app but not the story itself. Then you have to search and a lot of times that article is not able to be found. |

The new app is very amateurish, with no reguard for smartphone users by the poor use of screen sizing. The new app is just harder to use. When the live news comes on, it plays five seconds pauses ten seconds and after a few rounds goes back to play screan and you have to start over with commercials. A friend asked if I saw the news and hour ago and I said no, I'm still trying to get thru the first news story. The app is useless! |

Features in the app do not work (links for video or pictures) and ALOT of the articles and stories have a ton of grammatical and spelling errors. *UPDATE* Here it is 7 years later (Feb. '22) and the same remarks still apply. Nice job whoever maintains this app. How silly of me to think they might actually address the issues and fix them. |

Even if you manually turn them off the app will turn them back on because you have you give permission for the app to access your system settings. Very annoying! Uninstalled after a couple days - couldn't tolerate all the interuptions... |

This has been happening for months on different phones. If I open the app another way it's fine. I also occasionally get prompts that the app is not responding. It's too bad. |
