2024-11-26 | JAIME H | Just downloaded PackPoint and it's okay. To really get the benefits of creating your own lists and specific items, you need to buy the premium upgrade. It is $2.99. The app isn't great if you don't upgrade. I'm not sure it's worth it. The pre-generated lists are pretty good but you can't edit them without the premium plan! I love that it plans for how many nights you are staying.
2024-11-21 | Scott Travis | If you enjoy having your packing list disappear when you add a new list, this is the app for you. Complete junk. I created a list for Trip B coming up in to weeks and began to pack some of the unique items for that trip to Europe, then I decided to add trip A, which starts tomorrow and trip B dropped from the list. Then I added B back and so both. I flipped over to trip A and B is gone again. Junk.
2024-06-10 | Cherie Haas | So far, for a paid app it seems pretty minimalist. There are no directions to guide me in how to use the app and get more out of it, and I'm afraid that I may lose the list I'm creating and never see it again. There doesn't seem to be a way to permanently delete items that I will never use, just check them off so they disappear. But the items I check as I pack disappear to the same place, so the only way to see all checked items is to see the ones I would never use at the same time. Free trial?
2023-08-20 | Emily Keebler | Very handy. Use it before every trip. Love that I can add custom items and change the order of the items in the pre-built lists (in the free version). I do wish I could change the order of the entire category lists. If I've chosen Working, it always appears as the first list even through I'd rather Essentials and Toiletries were first.
2023-06-27 | Katie Grimes | Enjoying the app so far. Great ideas for packing lists while also letting me customize to my needs. I wish I could edit the items in the list (vs deleting and adding a new item). I also wish there was an easier way to add items that may have been removed, without retyping them. But other than that, I have enjoyed the app.
2023-02-21 | Jerome Guttman | I have used this app for years. I have recently found a new app that I like much better. My complaint with Packpoint is that you can't edit your lists. None of the items can be changed without deleting everything. Even then, you can't edit the pre-suggested items to make the list your own nor can you edit any item you have entered. I will unfortunately be moving on to the new app which I can customize as needed. Thank you, Packpoint, for your past service. It's PackTeo for me now!
2022-11-15 | Chad Nielson | Travel has always stressed me out for two reasons- 1. What time to leave for the airport and 2. What to pack. This app has made packing a breeze and stress-free. I upgraded to the paid plan and it was well worth it. I also use TripIt and it connects to that app which is really convenient. When I used it for the first time it knew that it was for a trip to Barcelona. It reminded me of the weather and how many days that I would be gone. Pretty cool!
2022-10-17 | Jennifer Kennard | I like a lot of it, like that it analyzes the weather and gives you appropriate clothing suggestions, but it's glitchy, and I'd like more features. Often when I add items, the items disappear and it only shows the defaults in the packing list. That's really frustrating. Also, I'd like to see able to edit items instead of having to delete and enter in new ones. I'd also like a few more symbols to pick from in the custom list - a church, a jar, a microphone, a podium, and a car icon would be good.
2022-09-20 | Daniel Saroff | Too basic to be useful. Lots of issues: 1) if you input the date for a trip incorrectly, you have to delete the trip and put in the new date (and you can't select from a calendar), 2) interface is HUGE, so only shows little information, 3) there is no way to sort the items you are bringing. They are in the order you add them. It is simply very basic, not easily tailored, doesn't do much, and is not tolerant of letting users fix mistakes. I'm uninstalling and looking for another 4) low contrast
2022-07-31 | Thomas Kranz | I bought this based on recommendations that it would sync up with TripIt Pro. However, whenever I try to login, I just get a blank page. This has been going on for several weeks, since I first paid for and installed the Pro version, so this is not a random or temporary issue. This makes the app useless if you want to take advantage of the advertised features. |
