App summary

The Leaf Spy Pro application allows anyone with a Nissan Leaf electric vehicle, Android device with Bluetooth and a supported ELM327 OBDII Bluetooth adapter the ability to monitor their battery and other vehicle information normally visible only to the dealer.

With the release of version 0.39.97 LeafSpy Pro now supports two Bluetooth 4.x LE approved adapters. The recommended one is the LELink available from Amazon. Bluetooth 4.x LE has the advantage of not needing to be paired and lower power from both the Android device and the Leaf. The LELink is highly recommended and also works with the iOS version of LeafSpy Pro.

The good news is that the app works and shows a plethora of useful information and lets you change a decent number of hidden settings. However, I have some complaints. 1. It is quite astonishingly ugly. 2. It is surprisingly expensive: 3 times the price of Torque Pro, which is the comparable app for hybrids. 3. It doesn't integrate at all with Android Auto. This seems like an obvious thing to add. 4. The Lite version doesn't seem to exist in the store any more, which prevents try-before-buy.

Feature request - As there are a lot of issues related to the 12V battery, a better volts and amps display for this item would be a great benefit to be able to monitor what is happening and when.

It's been a good experience. However, is there something you could do to make the Drive Recorder work? I have a Japanese 2017 30kwh. Also, SOH on the app takes an immediate hit when I use 110V home charging. Can you explain why? Is it something I should be concerned about?
