There were only a few puzzles I got stuck on, but two of them were because they seemed to require you to see like a dozen moves ahead to see conflict. There was one time where there was a typo in a hint (mixing up row and colum in the clue). |

I can probably figure it out further down the solve but your hint 1 says 9 can be solved is not a guarantee at that stage. there is no break in the line that says each thermometer terminates in the middle. |

I will say, puzzle 79 seems to require guessing at an option and proceeding until you find a contradiction (the "smart hint" gave up and the setter's hint confirmed that was what you needed to do), but they claim that shouldn't be needed for their puzzles, so that was disappointing. Maybe if you're good enough you can get an eye for that kind of thing? |
| 2023-03-20 |  | | Update: Docking a star until it gets the new interface in the Cracking the Criptic app which is just soooo much better Like the other apps from Cracking the Cryptic this one is stunning. Having beaten Chess Sudoku I was feeling a bit overconfident about Thermo puzzles. Let me tell you, they're so much different and just as challenging. I do recommend checking this set of puzzles out for yourself! |

The regular hints occasionally are not explained well and flipping back and forth between the regular hints and smart hints means clicking back several times and the button moves each time you click... there must be a better way to do this. |

I've started struggling now that the puzzles rely on more traditional Sudoku strategies like X-Wings since I'm not familiar with those, but when it came to thermo Sudoku, this was an excellent introduction and well-scaffolded. Time to try their more general Sudoku app to learn the basic strategies! |

Puzzles are challenging but doable! I'm also thrilled that the new release of more puzzles has some low to medium challenge ones. Thanks! |
| 2022-02-16 |  | | Really enjoyed the puzzles, like I have all the ones I've played that came from cracking the cryptic, I would like to see more levels added and would be interested in finding out if any are planned Edit* I've just looked on the website and it states that there will be a total of 100 levels after all the updates are made throughout the first year, that seems more than a fair amount I am very happy with that Thank you to all involved, play has been a pleasure |

Any puzzle game could be classed a repetitive because you have the same style of problem that needs to be dealt with. This is not repetitive, it's awesome. |
| 2021-07-06 |  | | Alright, I've finished all 80 puzzles currently in the app. #79 was a bit of a disappointment as the solve path felt like repeated bifurcations and backtracks rather than actual deductions (a lot of if RxCy was arbitrarily z, then it wouldn't work a few steps later). That said, #80 more than made up for it, ending on a very high note and the other puzzles were all excellent and interesting as well. Can't wait for more puzzles and now have to decide which other app I want to tackle next! |
