| 2023-10-15 |  | | App is nice and some puzzles are very good - unfortunately too many of those puzzles are just permutations of the same three triplets, so much that at a certain point you can just ignore the rules and use that unwritten rule to solve it. That kind of ruins it tbh. |
| 2023-09-15 |  | | I really liked doing these, until I realized that almost all of them are just variants of a handful of patterns. I'd be at it, having fun trying to solve a tricky one, only to notice the pattern and then just filling in the entirety with ease and disappointment. Kinda feels like the veil has been pulled back, and the magic has gone. Still, I've spend a *lot* of time in this app, and had a lot of fun. Great app. The latest UI is a bit wonky, but not as horrible as the reviews indicate. |
| 2023-04-11 |  | | App was recently updated to the current UI from the CtC app. Absolutely lovely. I've tried a lot of sudoku apps and this UI is my personal favorite. They've also got handwritten hints for each of the puzzles which is great for learning. I've finished all the puzzles once now, cleared my save data and I'm working towards doing it again. Well worth the dosh for a quality app with no ads. |
| 2023-04-11 |  | | Absolutely horrendous UI changes in the latest update. Everything has been squeezed into bottom even though there's tonnes of empty space at the top. Situational buttons that were hidden are now always on show taking up unnecessary room. Default layout is now a numpad, with the "traditional" layout now a setting hidden in a menu. Please revert to the old intuitive layout. |
| 2023-02-20 |  | | I was having a fantastic time, but just yesterday the app crashes every time I attempt to open it, and it's about enough crash that it basically takes my entire phone out of commission for 3 minutes as I try to close out of the app. I'm extremely disappointed in this as it was when my favorite sudoku apps, if it can get fixed I would greatly appreciate it! |

Hint system acts as micro tutorial for how to think through the problems logically, and the interface is effective and clean. I wish puzzles kept second best time info so I can see how much I've improved since last time. Would also be nice to be able to reset progress. And of course, more puzzles please 🙏🥳 |
| 2021-12-24 |  | | Definitely my favorite Sudoku app from cracking the cryptic. I wanted to do a couple of puzzles before I reviewed. They can be quite difficult but are really satisfying to complete. There's like 80 puzzles rn so tons of material. One review said the first two were too similar. They're literally the easiest to puzzles. They get harder as you go. (I honestly think he couldn't figure out the third one so he made a bad review. It's difficult.) Only similarity is a consecutive restraint. 20/10 |

They're clear enough, but they don't take into account what you have already deduced, and they'll give you the same hint multiple times, regardless of if you've marked it. Incredibly annoying, especially once you get into more advanced puzzles and really need a new step in the right direction. |

You won't find value like this anywhere except on the cracking the cryptic YouTube channel which let's you solve the puzzles for free (which can be solved in browser or imported into their app) |
