| 2024-11-12 |  | | I'd rather pay $2-10 for a full version that gets rid of advertisements. That being said, please keep the version with ads so that we can test it before we purchase it. Use the money you get from the purchase to invest in autosaves and a "history" function that saves all changes made to a document. Overall it is a very good app and it works perfectly as a TXT document editor with all the basic features I need and none of the extra fluff that would slow it down, but I definitely want history. |

So I exported all my files from there and now I use this to edit those files whenever I want to. TXT files can be transferred anywhere, but all those notepad apps always hide the files so they are not easily transferred. |

It generated actual text files like Windows Notepad allowing you to share them without since awkward "Share" shenanigans you have to go through with other now programs. So yeah, it's great, except the incessant "PlEaSE RaTe Me!!!" Fine. I rated you, now leave me the f*** alone! It would have been 5 stars but this is a "Now I'm aggravated" review and would have been less stars, but, functionally, it is a great app. |

The problem is the wild full-page, full-volume game ads the pop up every time you exit, save, etc. It will sound to others 2 rooms away that you are playing juvenile games. I've never seen any app that that does ads like this. There is no place to pay to get rid of the ads and their privacy policy has nothing to do with this app. |

App frequently saves over (overwrites) open file1 with contents of another file2, seems to happen when file1 was saved but app was not specifically closed before file2 was opened, ending up with 2 copies of file2, one of which is named 'file1'. (2) Closing the app is a pain: tell it to save, then plays ad; when ad is over, gives option to exit, then "are you sure?" and then overwrites as per #1 above. (3) cursor keeps jumping to EOF |

I can get back to my cursor by pulling down the keyboard, but this is highly annoying and impractical for any serious text editing work. Uninstalled now, but has potential. I may check back someday. |

If the "line" function is turned off, they are back when app is launched again. Also, user can't change location to which saved files are stored. |

The in-your-face ad is a heavy price to pay. I have other text editors, quite functional and really free without ads. I have paid for some for further development. Reviews for the app are strange. Full 5-star enthusiastic ratings but with complaints of one defect or another. These feel like boosting by buddies and acquaintances. |
