2024-06-10 | niobe trinity | Always appreciate an intuitive app that does what I need, first try. Needed to rename a file, that has an unwanted random 12 character prefix and unwanted html url encoding suffix. Rename my Files regex pattern handled the prefix and standard pattern handled the suffix. Rename my Files has a preview mode so I could review before the actual rename. And Rename my Files has a rename history. Thanks Dev👍🏽 Bought Pro.
2024-04-27 | Jim Swenson | Pro: I like its "command syntax" best. I can define a string replacement, then edit the recipe to point it at various folders. It has been essential to me. (I never use schedules!) Con: it seems a little slow, ~2-10 files/sec, depending. If I specify 'subfolders', & point it at a major folder with 2000+ files, I must wait minutes just for the pre-run survey. (Is it possible that working via the Android filesystem cannot go faster?) But, I use it anyway.
2024-03-23 | David Eskin | Tried several apps to find one which would allow me to rename a lot of files easily to remove specific character strings from filenames. This app did so perfectly in a safe and reversible way, especially love the preview functionality.
2023-12-11 | EJ | Edited. Worth 5 stars. Got answer to my question really quickly. Works brilliantly. Thank you. Question Re-naming issues. I would like to be able to select all files (pics) in a folder (that I have created to move the pics I want renamed into). I just want to add a prefix eg 2 digits, and if possible specify how many characters of the original file to keep, eg first 5. Is this possible. I also want to run the rule once off (at a time and not schedule repeat or automatic). Tks

2023-11-12 | Rob M | Originally gave this a bad review because I was frustrated and couldn't get to grips with it, but the developer was really helpful and responsive.

2023-07-24 | A A | This is fantastic! I realize not many have downloaded it, but it is easy to use on bulk files which it was specifically designed to do. The developers did a fantastic job! Way to go! My only regret is that I did not find this sooner. In my humble opinion it's awesome! This is a awesome program. It has saved hours tedious work. And it is extremely fast and so easy to use! A++++++
2023-07-23 | Peter Vanderhaden | Absolutely outstanding! I only need to rename files by replacing parts of names, but this works perfectly and the developer's instructions are clear, concise, and easily understood. This app FAR exceeds my wildest expectations. |
