2024-11-26 | Josh | Maybe it's just me, but I haven’t gotten a single like in one week of using the app. Meanwhile on Tinder, which I installed the day before I installed Hinge, I've gotten 7 likes (4 verified) and 2 of them were matches. My profiles on both are practically identical. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong on this app, but surely at least one person would have liked me by now? It doesn't matter anyway, I'm having way more luck in person. Breaking the ice in person is a lot easier than online.
2024-11-25 | C | Just like any dating app, you have to buy a subscription to be able to really do anything. And the prices are really high. Other than that, I like this app. It has a lot of customizable options in your profile, and u can really filter down what type of person you're looking for as well as how far of distance. I only wish that it would show when the last time the person was online, cuz you don't know if their profile has just been sitting there for months or not. ALSO, the girls are all real lol
2024-11-25 | Preston Stone | After using the app for two months, I'm editing my review from 3 to 5 stars. This is with the perspective of having used a premium account. The app has resulted in meeting several good people for me. I love that there is an emphasis on comments on photos to break the ice. I think it's helpful to know someone's intentions with you, how their personality is, and what aspect of your personality they're interested in. I also like that there is the ability to pause the account.
2024-11-22 | Dan T | Pros: Longevity. Simple functionality and interface. Short and simple prompts make you get to know the person through conversation. Cons: Technical errors are common, to the point where they irrecoverably unmatch you from users (I've lost no less than 3 matches due to app errors, confirmed by customer support). The best profiles are behind a paywall.
2024-11-18 | K P | It's okay. The UI isn't always the most obvious, but it's relatively easy to use. However, there's nothing much in the way of information when looking at matches. You can post pictures on your profile, and you can select certain prompts to try to let people know what kind of person you are, but a lot of users aren't that detailed. It's really hard to tell if a potential match will have anything in common with you, unlike other apps that try to bridge that gap with things like tags or more space.
2024-11-17 | Olivia C | It has potential but I'm not a fan so far. I noticed when I first signed up it showed lots of attractive guys as it "learned my type." I sent likes (not realizing you don't get very many) and then it wanted me to upgrade to get more. Seems like they are hiding attractive people behind a paywall and now it only shows guys I'm not interested in at all. Thinking the first profiles were all fake
2024-11-15 | Joy Taylor | It's an okay app. It's better than most dating apps I have tried. Most apps are pressuring you to buy their subscriptions, which is overly expensive. However, how many times are you going to keep scrolling through profiles and hitting likes or declines all day, and you're not getting anyone to reply back after your comment that you posted. I've tried the subscription, and I'm getting the same results that I had before I ever started the subscription. It's a waste of time and money.
2024-11-14 | Vee | Designed to be deleted because they have no account recovery if you get a new phone but can prove who you are in every other way. When I did have access, they would only show people 100+ miles away from me despite having no filters other than distance applied Update to add: they have every incentive to keep you on their app, relationshipless. They know exactly who you're compatible with and hide them
2024-11-09 | John Araujo | Hinge, the app designed to be deleted — because it sucks! 😂 This app is hardly different from any other swipe and match dating app. It faces the same challenges as all dating apps: there is no substitute for in-person connections. I even tried their premium services which seemed rigged. My "type" hardly appeared when I bought the premium service, but suddenly they all appeared after I cancelled the premium service. Save yourself the time and focus on expanding your real life social networks.
2024-11-07 | Chase Jones | I think Hinge / Match Group intentionally suppresses likes and matches to keep you on the app. So far, better than Tinder and Bumble. My hinge likes disappeared. I was able to view my matches two days ago. Since I've updated. Now, I can only view one match at a time. Or they want money to view more matches. Was a great app until this change. Lots of app issues. |
