Seems like a good program. But it doesn't allow for SMTP without a professional license. If I can't use it with my current email accounts, it is much less useful for me. Will probably be canceling and refunding (thankfully they have a 30 day trail, at least).

The app misbehaves when data connection isn't good. Sent my email with no subject when I wanted simply to save it as draft. The weird behavior while having poor internet connection isn't new. This problem exists for long time now and isn't being addressed. Yes, I did press the X button to save the draft. I realize that this is difficult to reproduce because a weak unrelable data connection is required. But try sending an email with attachments in such condition and you should experience things.

Proton Mail phone notifications are unreliable since the last update. Often times, I don't receive phone notifications, although Proton sends email notifications to my recovery email address that I have messages in my Proton account. And that's how I found out I have messages in Proton. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and checked all my phone settings. I even fully reset my phone. No joy! Please fix the bug. The phone is a Chinese knock-off (Oukitel WP35), and runs Android 14.

I pay so much money for a Visionary account. They've been ignoring my support requests for days. My data is missing. They are refusing to recover it. Emails in my sent folder just keep disappearing. They told me they can't restore the entire mailbox to a previous state. So use them for email if you don't actually need your email. Edit: It is right and I'm done pretending your support knows what it's doing. I've been in IT for 20+ years. Some people just shouldn't be in technology.

Trying to upgrade to a higher email/vpn subscription is terrible. I have to do it through playstore, but have to cancel my old one first. Then it won't cancel until six months from now, so I'm stuck with only viewing email from my phone. Ridiculous. The app itself works well, but this aspect of customer service is abysmal.

App is not working as it should. When I go to delete something via the toast notification, it appears as though it gets deleted but upon going into the app itself, I see the many emails still left in there undeleted. That is a frustrating flaw. Edit: The report a problem in the app itself is also not working which is why I had to leave a review. This is still the case as of 11/3/2024.

This app is extremely unreliable. it only notifies me of bulk messages and not the important ones. when I'm sending email two out of three times it throws it into drafts and never sends it, I have to manually go and make sure it didn't end up in the draft folder and then manually send it again. Aspen going on now for about 5 months. no resolution in sight

Just stick to being a mail app. I don't need a password manager, vpn, calendar, or anything other than a simple email service. I would glady pay 3-5 dollars a month for a quality email rather than $5 for a overall mid email plus some extra trash I don't need or use. Just keep them separate and have a package for those who want all of them. I like proton, I really do, but y'all need to focus on being an email FIRST.

Don't sign up for this if you want a free account. Once you use 80 percent storage, they start threatening to not send you your emails. No matter how many emails you delete it will take months for them to lower your percentage. However if you get more emails up and up. It doesn't seem to matter if I delete 300 emails or if I delete 10. The amount of storage used won't. change. If I get a lot of emails one day, believe it- it goes up so now my storage is at 87% Just took two and a half hours.

I pay for protonmail and use it for a lot of addresses. The android app is very buggy. It randomly freezes when composing emails. I know it's about to freeze when I'm typing an address and it fails to auto complete, and deletes the address I manually type in when the field loses focus. Then it won't close the compose view so I have to restart the app to use it. Also frequently find sent emails in my drafts folder, turns out they were never delivered. Out of space to describe other issues.
