App summary

WARNING -- We do not guarantee that problems caused by the improper use of this utility can be fixed, and we are unable to help you with any such problems. We support only this app, not your device's system software. Settings Database Editor (SetEdit) is invaluable if you need it, but if you're not careful you're very likely to mess something up.

By default, for your protection, Android prevents you from modifying the SECURE and GLOBAL tables. If you have Android Jellybean or later, you can remove this protection from an ADB shell using the command "pm grant by4a.setedit22 android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS". On earlier versions, you can only remove this protection on a rooted device by installing SetEdit to the system partition.

Some versions of Android will ask you to "check for update". If Google Play does not offer any updated version, then please ignore this. You have the best version of SetEdit for your device.

Does it's work, but for my phone I am suddenly unable to edit "System Table" as of a security update. I am using latest android stuff and I have givin the app it's needed permissions via ADB. The error reads: "Unexpected failure: Your system software has rejected this edit." Any advice works, thanks for the help!

Using it for several years to enable mobile hotspot by changing (or adding the line) in System Table: "tether_entitlement_check_state" from a "1" to a "0" and then Global Table change (or add the line) "tether_dun_required" from a "1" to a "0". Some phones will go back to a "1" after reboot. Just change it back to a "0". Also, learn to enable write/changing. Now, I have a new Moto Power 5G with Android 14 and not work in System Table but after enabling write/changing it works in Global Table.

Very useful and i like it! I've downloaded this application to turn off "Touch-disable Mode" of my Huawei P20 Pro phone. So easy to use. I just opened it and scrolled down to Touch-disabled mode and changed the value from number "1" to "O" and it worked! Thank you developers for this amazing application!
