2024-11-30 | Kristen Kewley | Most recent update no longer always the accessibility feature to properly work : ( Edit to reply: I have done all of those things, I have not received a reply to my email requesting help, and when I spoke with customer service on the phone I was told I was inappropriately using the accessibility feature and needed to start buying audiobooks!
2024-11-28 | Thia Lynne | This had all the hallmarks of a classic. It reminded me, in many ways, of Tolstoy's War and Peace. It could do with a quick look by a proofreader to clean up a few errors. The one that stands out in my memory the most is using their for there. A couple of words were omitted, and a few were repeated, which happens during editing and forgetting to delete what was written first. The errors weren't enough to mar the enjoyment of this excellent story. I just hope they will be attended to. I can wait
2024-11-27 | Adrian Kessel | Great selection of books and decent reading experience. Very nice level of customizing fonts and colors while reading. I'd like a dark mode so I don't light up the room at night when looking at my library. A general performance boost would be nice as the app feels sluggish to launch and not super smooth when in use. Selection of optimized comics isn't great.
2024-11-16 | K. S. | I've used this app for years, as one of my rereading apps and I've been satisfied. However lately everytime I open the app I can't see any images of the books. Only the titles of the books. It makes for a much longer process. It made me realize how much I recognize books my sight rather than my name. I would really appreciate it you fix this glitch or whatever this problem is? Thanks!!!
2024-11-10 | Donna Jones | 10+/5 stars if possible, in the past. My frustration after the update on or about 9/21/24: I have to reset options every time I open the app, or go back to the current book from any other screen, even if still open. After the update on 11/9/24, the app now skips when I have it read aloud; it reads 1st sentence on a page & goes to next page, & repeats process. I listen as I drive, walk my dog, etc. I can't do that with skipped parts. Please fix this! These last 2 updates have not been good.
2024-11-09 | Lesley B | The performance used to be fine, but it now has gotten crummy. Lately, when I open the app the book I was reading has closed and I cannot find it in my library. This has happened several times in the last few weeks. I've tried reinstalling the app on my android phone bu nothing seems to work. I also can no longer figure out how to see all the books I've purchased in my library! Please help me, if you can.
2024-11-09 | L Phillips | Why is it every time I exit this app and reopen it, it has reset all my reading settings: the background, the font, the spacing, etc? It's beyond aggravating to refix it every time before I can even read. And then not to mention it's been skipping parts of pages, so I'll end up having to scroll back, shrink down the page just so I can read the missing parts of the story it skipped over and half the time it's a whole flipping page (or two) it skipped over. This app used to be great.
2024-11-04 | Justin Malament | Reply to B&N: To clarify, I'm talking about NOOK for Web. The phone app works fairly well but it doesn't allow you to save books in a file format that can be transferred to other devices. I need a larger screen when using academic textbooks and I want to be able to do this in a PC rather than having to spend $100 on a separate device.
2024-10-26 | Jessica Chavez (doodlerom) | I have a nook that I love to use to read books, but SUCKS when it comes to reading manga (the image is so hazy). That's why I use the app on my phone. However, manga get considered as magazines and newspapers, so I can't turn off the slide animation when I turn a page. It really hurts my eyes. Please add the option to turn off animation on magazines and newspapers!!!
2024-10-21 | Christina Thompson | Not being able to purchase ebooks directly through the app has become a huge drawback. Having to exit the app, go to the Barnes and Noble website, maneuver to my wishlist and purchase from there would be inconvenient enough, but the website itself is so slow and unwieldy that it's become a task that I end up avoiding until I am desperate for new reading material. I'm sure they are missing out on many spontaneous purchases by having done this. |
